[ KD had 1 assist. He was assisted on 2 of his 14 made FG's. probably about the same % in his 27 FGA. I so much KD?
We ran Spain PnR a couple of times and they just switched it and neutralized it. That is the whole point of a switching defense, to neutralize off ball actions. Hence why we switched to a switching defense ourselves in an effort to stop the Warriors.
The Warriors don't have players that break their man down off the dribble, especially with Curry still somewhat injured, this is why they play the style that they do.
The rockets played great when they ran iso with harden or Paul tonight, it was everything else that was trash.
I definitely agree with you. But that's how we should initiate the offense. Harden just has a habit of dribbling down the clock and dancing until less than 7 seconds and puts us in a bind. He needs to do less of that. He should make his move around 12 seconds. That gives time for the drive, kick, two passes on the perimeter, and a drive with/without a secondary cutter. Executing that is a whole different ordeal. We haven't played that way. And like others have said, our frontcourt doesn't have great passing skills.
I mean, all those shot clock violations and terrible last second shots came from nowhere. You have to move the rock. But it isn't as easy as I'm making it out to be. Role players have to step the **** up
they just have more talent. they have more scorers, more dribblers, more passers. warriors that can create their own shot, dribble, or pass: steph, klay, iggy, kd, green, west, livingston, young. rockets that can create their own shot, dribble, or pass: cp3, harden, ego, green, nene ariza, tucker, moute, and ryno are asked to stand still on the 3pt line because they can't actually do much else effectively on offense. we just need more playmakers to keep up.
One of the most efficient offenses in NBA history....what a terrible system. Let's stop doing that. MFers act like just anybody can do what GS does on offense.
We were able to tire Curry out and render him with no option other than flopping for his life. He was held to 18 points, because we kept going after him. That is the point of the strategy, tire Curry out and make Durant beat you in the mid range. That is how the Cavs beat them before they had Durant, unfortunately for us, Durant certainly can beat a team in the mid range by himself. That doesn't mean our strategy did not go according to plan, that means they are stacked and we need to get more out of our role players to beat them.
Probably because that is the only this team can score when 4 players just stand around an entire offensive set. It's the chicken or the egg dilemma. Can others not score because they stand around make it easy for the defenders or do they suck that much?
lmao. This. "It makes us too predictable!" As this game, and about 80 other games have shown, that criticism is silly, because our "unpredictable" plays are far less efficient. The whining about isolation remains silly. It's far and away the Rockets best option, as it has been the entirety of the season. Just because it is not good enough to beat the greatest team ever constructed does not make it the wrong way to play.
Actually our half court defense is decent tonight. The points we gave up that swung the game were on transitions We literally don't not know how to fast break. Everyone just bulldozers to the hoop and bricks.warriors can get wide open layups and threes on turn overs. That's the difference Durant was godlike too
