We have scored 1 run or fewer in a quarter of our games. We have a good record because of what we did to the A’s, Orioles, and white sox. All bad teams. Also, how have we lost 16 games with that team ERA? It’s because the offense cant hit even average pitching consistently right now. If this is still going on at the end of may its time to make necessary changes to the lineup. But go ahead and think we will win 100 games while hitting like this. That is foolish. If you watch the games then you know the Astros aren’t even passing the eye test as a 100 game winner. To suggest otherwise is mere polyanna fluff. Do I think the hitting will improve? Yes i think it probably will. But will the pitching sustain what they are doing? Maybe not. It’s important to take advantage of record breaking pitching and not waste it. This is because its not usually sustainable. As i say this mccann goes deep. Hopefully a start to the offensive turnaround.
