Jokes on you. I’m 15 mins from Toyota Center so I get to games on time.

And HISD has some of the best magnet programs in the state. I know, I went to one.

Carnegie Vanguard is HISD and it's one of the top 25 public high schools in the entire country, let alone the Houston area.

That's right. It was Mad Max, not Horry. I remember one year, Elie and Mad Max were doing autographs at I believe Walker Station Elementary for something.

Nah, it's TMAC that lived and still lives in Sweetwater.
Also some other former members of the Rox coaching staff.

Dream lived off 59 and Williams Trace. forget what the subdivision is called but my relatives live a few streets away and I had a high school classmate(Dad used to play for the Stros) who lived next to Dream. Thats how I remember cos we would drive past his house in HS.

Was just about to post that. That's the kind of rubbish that Jimmy "I'm from Tomball not Houston" would say.

Late to this thread but are we bragging about the schools our parent's homes were zoned to?

I'd left Houston for college by this time but didn't Clements have a good team when Derek Butler was there?

I see the place all the time because it's down the street from my folks house and just on hwy 6 heading towards 90.
Ashamed to say I never checked out the place and ate there. After Barkley mentioned it, I took a look at the menu and it seems a solid place. Gonna check it out next week.

I'm thinking I have been there before, but it would have been 25+ years ago and I don't know if they have been around that long.

I have no idea where Sugarland is, and I lived in Houston for 9 years. Somewhere in Harris County, I know that.

Sugar land. Two words. And it’s a damn suburb. Charles is about that suburb life. Let me know when he keeps it real like Gerald. Green.

    Da hell with Sugar Land!

Remember when the First Colony Mall got hit by a tornado in the 90s? Same storm produced a tornado that destroyed the rec center in Mo City and we got NO love on the Weather Channel. It's like the whole family gets in a wreck and they only wanna talk about how it messed up the pretty daughters face. I bet that's how folks in Rockport feel about Harvey.

I grew up in Sugar Land. My folks moved out of the South Post Oak area when I was 6. At that point, the population of Sugar Land was 3,101 (I remember seeing it posted on a sign on Hwy 90). Went to Dulles High. Back then there was no Sugar Creek, no Williams Trace, no First Colony. From what I understand, the population now is close to 1 billion or so.

I'm just glad I got the f#%k out before Barkley showed up.
