the respect and relationship cp3 has with the top players all across the league is all I need to know about how well he is liked

I can see where he's coming from but K-Mart must be high during this interview.

He said that a guy that averages over 11 assists per game is SELFISH. Does he not understand how gaining an assist works every night in the NBA... after 15 years of service you would think he would now the assist benefits the scorer on the same team as his own.

I can guarantee you there are players who turn their noses up at CP3 antics and perfectionist aura.. Some of these new CP3 fan boys hated his guts 1 year ago because of this very thing.. I loved CP3 in NO but hated his guts in LA because of his antics and "lil man" syndrome .. As a Rockets fan, I love him again. But I wont disregard the reasons I hated him in L.A just because he's here. I think Kmart shares that kind of characteristic in calling a spade a spade..

Dont majority of the players feel the same way? Regardless of the facts. Majority of players will tell you there's a lot that happens that doesn't show up in statistics. He didn't come off as dumb to me. That was his opinion and a lot of players, past and present, feel the same way.

 

I didn't say he was special. I said he was a beast in the league and was highly respected by his peers, regardless of who he should thank for his accomplishments. Capela can thank Paul and Harden all day every day for his success, contract and accomplishments but it doesnt take a way the fact that he's a talented player and beasting the league right now. I didn't like CP3 because he dribbled too much looking for the assist. The MDA offense has been good for cp3. He dribbled less, shoots more and passes more quickly.

 

The other 3 teams left in the playoffs ranked 14th (CLE), 21st (BOS), and 27th (HOU) in assists. In fact, 9 of the 16 teams in the playoffs were in the bottom half of the league in assists.

The whole assist thing is way overrated. You don't get extra points for assists. You don't get extra possessions for assists. What you do get is extra turnovers the more you pass the ball.
