Media love them the Warriors and Lebron. Them picking Golden State over Houston doesn't mean so much to me. I get it, they're the defending champs, people are going to want to pick them. Plus it doesn't cost the media anything to be wrong. On the other hand, it costs Vegas money to be wrong. I think the Rockets have a really good chance to win and at the worst make it a tough fight for the Warriors.

I'd say MDA is pretty safe. if we get bounced in the first round next year then he might be on the hot seat

You've now dodged posting the odds, TWICE.

    I understand why

Warriors' sweeping the Rockets isn't comparable to Cavs' doing the Raptors.

You worry too much. Please have faith in this organization and DM. Like you don't worry about the stock market next year, you shouldn't be thinking this right now.

    ODDS...
    Cavs vs Raptors
    Warriors vs Rockets

You know... the ENTIRE thesis of your thread.

    Playing possum is weak.

    FAIL thread

The Lebrons have been to 7 straight finals.

Again, my answer is no. When you are playing a team with 4 all-stars in their prime and 2 of the top 5 players in the league with a bench as deep as ours, coaching matters very little.

    Ok.
So how good of a chance do you think the Rockers have?

    Lol
    Today is Friday. Chill.

Someone posted that the Warriors were heavy favorites and I posted Vegas odds that proved to the contrary. Im sure i could go find the odds for the Raptors series but the entire thesis of my thread is not Vegas odds. It is the reaction to high expectation vs results. The Raptors obviously expected to do much better than they did. And not only did they lose, They got swept. If the results of the Warriors series is far from the expectation I would hope the team doesn't overreact but it is a thought especially seeing the Raptors just did the same.

    Hell-to-the-NO

MDA is arguably the best coach in the league. He's single handedly turned us into the best team regular season team. He's a great coach and has the respect of his players. He's literally erased every negative assumption about his coaching style that the media puts on him till this day. He needs to be Popovich status for this organization

I agree but as a counter-argument, Casey just won a coach of the year award. I'm sure some up North thought very highly of him.

That's a pretty silly question. I think we have a good chance. I am a Rockets fan since the late 80's, what the heck are you expecting me to say?

Mchale got to WCF and got fired the next year. Blatt got to the finals and had the best record and he got fired.

Will Brad Stevens get fired if Lebron sweeps him?

It was unfair Casey got fired. He would have been better off and tanking for the 2nd seed.

Well.... to ease your concerned mind, MDA won't be fired.

If Raptors-Cavs was equivalent to Warriors-Rox, he might be, but the two series are NOT equivalent.

To further ease your mind, go find the ODDS.

Why fire the coach if we get swept when we can just add Lebron?

    -I expect them to win
-They have a really good chance
    -About 50-50
-I would love them to win but I'm not very confident
-I would be pleasantly surprised if they won

I think if we don’t win with MdA and our playstyle, no one ever will beat the warriors as long as they’re in their prime. Our roster and playstyle is perfectly constructed to compromise talent by being the perfect matchup. No one „outtalents“ golden state. Which is why we had to come up with something else. Let’s see how it works

Why would MDA be on the hot seat? If we get swept, there's a high chance that Harden didn't show up. It's him that we would be talking about this off-season, not MDA.
