I wonder what this will do for the home values in New Territory?

Sugar Land is two words, breh! Sugarland is a lame country artist.

I grew up in New Territory when it was just Robinson's Landing, the prison land, and the Imperial Sugar mill down highway 90. Was at Walker Station Elementary during the Hakeem, Summit years. Those were the good days.

Before I moved to Austin, I used to live in New Territory as well, Clarenda Falls in Blakely Bend in fact. If memory serves, Barkley used to live in Point Royale. A couple of other Rockets used to live there. I believe Hakeem used to live in Sweetwater near First Colony.

New Territory is huge now. You got Telfair fully built up, a stadium behind that, and all these other buildings I don't recognize whenever I go back to visit the folks.

Be careful what you say about Sugar Land on this forum.....The Rockets greatest player ever #34, lived there for many years.

Damn what subdivision in New Territory?

I lived in the "poor" side in the subdivision called Laurel Crest next to Brazos Bend Elementary.

If you got folks still living there I can understand not divulging that over the interent .

The **** it isn't. Is this a new thing now? Inside-the-loop elitists? LOL GTFO, and that's coming from someone who lives inside the loop.

Back in the day, Shaq bought his side piece a house in Pearland.

Blakely Bend, directly across from Walker Station, both which are next to Pecan Park.

Hey! I resemble that remark! The entire outer loop is just one great big Applebee's to me.

Chinatown is really one of the only places that makes me think about leaving the inner loop but the traffic just to get there is bad enough. Then it's a mad house once you're there. But oh my god the restaurants and groceries and such!

The parking in those areas are the worst. Small and surrounded by terrible, terrible drivers.

He was in the rich "gated" side. True story - I went trick-or-treating there back in high school (Kempner). They always gave out the best candy....full size snickers and stuff. Actually went to Barkley's house then and didn't know it. His wife was in costume and had these shorts you could get from Spencer's gifts with a baboon butt on the outside. Was young and stupid....told her she had a nice ass. I didn't know it was Barkley's house or wife until after I left and a bunch of kids rushed the front door when Barkley came out to hand out candy.
