I think they're focusing on a "shenanigans in the workplace" with "actual crimes" peppered in. Which is the right thing to do with a comedy. I'm hoping the routine between the "straight man and the funny guy" angle can last. Too much Samberg or too much Braugher and not enough of other can get old fast.
This was okay. I was mostly just amused at times but I don't think I ever laughed at anything in the 2 episodes. The actual crimes were not interesting at all. Seems like they solved them in 3 minutes without hardly trying. I guess it's not trying to be that type of show though. The characters/premise has promise but they need some actual laugh out loud material if they're focusing on the workplace/office stuff.
This show suffers from cheesy writing, thankfully the actors/actresses save this show. They either need to go full on crude or hire more clever writers. Right now they are mediocre.
This was the only current Fox show that I watched. I guess I'm one of the few though. Hopefully the series finale actually feels like a finale.
Fox can suck a big d**k! They are on a downhill roll right now. They are f-ing up "Lethal Weapon" by firing Clayne Crawford...who made the perfect Riggs. I guess they will cancel that show, too, since they got rid of the main reason people tuned in.
Apparently he was a total ******* offset so maybe it was justified. if he was grabbing peoples' ass and saying offensive stuff you gotta fire him.
I was really disappointed when I heard this yesterday, I really thought they'd hit their stride over the past few seasons....
I'm more bummed about Last Man on Earth. It's a weird show but I love it. I like Brooklyn 9-9 but I haven't gotten too invested in it. I'm not surprised by The Mick. It was pretty terrible.
I like Brooklyn Nine Nine but it never hooked me like Parks and Rec did even though it's the same creator. It didn't have as much charm, I guess. The episodes were really funny, so I might sit down and binge it someday. The wife and I do watch Last Man on Earth for its quirkiness. Not as big laughs but entertaining enough. Sad to see both go.
One of the few shows I watch. Unfortunately, I haven’t been faithful to it the last season or so. But I saw it on tbs and that made me happy.
Hulu passed :-( https://www.hollywoodreporter.com/live-feed/brooklyn-nine-nine-eyes-new-life-fox--1110978
