Green is going to pull Capela away from the rim. That's why Kerr started playing this lineup last series, to get them ready for the WCF. Smart. Green will blow right by Nene, time to get Ryno used to the stretch 5 role IMO. If not, Ryno will be more untradable than ever next year, if that's actually possible.
And WHY are we calling them the Hampton Five? Cute story. But why do we care about their little love at first sight? Let's rip these guys
I’m pretty confident that they will change the starting lineup. I think McGee starts to match with capela and defend the lob with his length. It also allows iggy to come off the bench and try to equalize some of our overpowering second units. Not worried tho, we will just attack McGee in isolation. Also, have just as much faith in our 2nd unit no matter who they play.
It don't matter who they start if Eric Gordon finds his shot this series. If Splash Gordon returns it's over for Golden State.
I agree with the posters who said they will try to keep Clint off the rim and convert him into a passer. Once the P/R is taken away from Clint, he loses confidence. They have Looney who can defend against him too, when Draymond is taking a breather.
just don't lose game 1 please cuz you know the Warriors will come out firing to try to take away home court.
Best post of the thread. Our off ball defense is relatively weak. It could be a critical factor in the outcome in the series.
You don't have to respect Iggy or donkey-MFer's 3 point game that much, so it makes it relatively easy to pack the paint against that lineup (as easy as it's ever going to be against GSW...) which in turns makes it easier to handle their entire offense. They're still going to score a lot no matter what though. We're just going to have to hit our threes on the other end to be able to keep up with them.
Slowing down Curry, Thompson and Durant is the only way to beating them. It's a very tall order, no doubt.
Wanting to start Eric Gordon which sucks so much rn and is awful defensively to guard Curry and not have anyone above 6'6 on court to guard the rim. Yes, thank god you not our coach.
I like that matchup but would like to see Prince on Durant for the length. I thought Tucker would be better to battle Green. But I think we have real flexibility.
paul is not big enough to guard klay, klay will shoot over him repeatedly. tucker is 6'6 guarding 7 foot durant, would rather have ariza on durant
Actually, they have 5 guys week thrive in transition, 5 guys who can play point/playmerks, 5 guys who move excellent without the ball.. idk how you stop that
Yes, indeed. Curry won't like playing against Paul believe me. Right now, Chris' confidence is high. Harden on Andre is ideal, but not practical. James will have to take Klay off the dribble, and guard him closely. Tucker on Draymond. Clint can come out on Andre, and protect the rim too.
