i think the rockets played the best when they play the lakers but the games after that rockets just plain out terrible. last year in the game where we won in january (i think francis scored 44) we stunk for the rest of the season and missed the playoffs. and now after the xmas laker game, we r losing 2 games already after the laker game.

    just food for thought

I said in another thread, last year whenever we played Lakers, won or lost, we had a big fat losing streak.

Seems it still going this year.

I think this little losing streak is natural. The Rockets were obviously confident and had a huge ego boost due to the lakers win. While they carried that into the first half vs. Denver, they got TOO cocky. And tonite, they thought a 4-5 point lead would be good enough against Seattle, considering they were also drawing blanks on 3s. The Rockets' biggest problem right now is immaturity and lack of experience, which will only come with time.

Actually, I think 5 years is enough time. If they don't have the maturity and poise to get into the playoffs this year, then it ain't ever gonna happen and things will have to be torn down from their foundation. Right now, I think they don't have the maturity to take every opponent seriously, especially after beating a team like the Lakers. The time excuse will not fly anymore this year, at least not with me.

We'll get in this year. But this is the fourth year in a row I have said that. My schedule was WCF this year, get cheated by the officials, and get to the finals next year.
