Draymond Green would like to remind you he still doesn't care about the Rockets

it's crazy how much they can't stop talking about us..it's actually really f'ing weird, and add to the list of the other thousand reasons I hate that team.

 

I hope we destroy the Warriors

 

Well let’s hope this team goes out there and punches the Warriors in the face to ensure Draymond cares.

The Rockets are in their heads somewhat. I think it’s important that they go out there, hit them early and often to create even more doubt in the minds of the Dubs.

 

Draymond gets off on these things.... that gets him going big time.

He lets you know he does not care, while he was clearly reading Houston's stats during the season in the locker room or in his private room.

He reads stats for fun, much like Battier has. Dun be fooled.

Luckily our poor man's version of his, PJ sans playmaking has stepped up. Thicc!

 

The other odd thing in all of this is that the Rockets really haven't talked about the Warriors since January.

 

I've had a strong dislike for Draymond Green for a long time, but I don't have a problem with what he said.
They asked him if they wanted to play us as bad as we wanted to play them, and he said they don't care who they play -- they've won 2 titles in 3 years. He's absolutely right, disregard the regular season, the road to the title goes through them.

 

To be fair, David Aldridge baited him last night. But yeah Draymond loves to run his mouth.

 

They are defending champs and were really close to being 3 time defending champs so Draymond is going to talk whatever mess he wants. He has some valid points the Rockets have talked a lot early in the season about wanting to beat the Warriors. Our GM has come out saying how obsessed he was in beating the Warriors. Its fine, personally I think its great. The Rockets haven't really mentioned anything about the Warriors recently though and I am glad they haven't. They have a huge uphill climb in front of them to beat Golden State. They have homecourt which is a good start (provided that the Houston crowd actually shows up and doesn't sell tickets to Warrior "fans" in houston) but they will have to win at least one in Oracle.

Golden State knows that this is the actual NBA Finals whoever comes out of the east will be a much easier opponent for them in terms of talent and they'll have home court. They're hyping themselves up because maybe they are somewhat "bored" with the lack of a challenge in the first two rounds (even though they lost a game in each round compared to the year before when they swept through) They are going to be locked in to try to make a statement. The Rockets are going to have to be bring their A+ game every night and cannot take any quarters off because it will burn them. The effort they had in games 3 and 4 against the Jazz defensively is what they'll need along with their offense hopefully showing up.

 

A lot of it has to do with the media bringing it up because Rockets are the only legitimate threat the Warriors have had to face in the past 2 seasons.

 

All the pressure is on the Warriors to beat us down.

When we punch them in the mouth in game one it will shock them to their core.

 

The entire premise of the question he was asked was weird. "With all of the stuff they've been saying about you guys..." That's kind of ridiculous. Daryl said we were focused on figuring out how to match up with them and beat them (which is obvious for any team legitimately trying to contend) and Capela said we're better (after being asked about it). That's it. GS loves to manufacture a narrative against them like everyone is doubting them and hates the team... they're still the media darlings and are substantial favorites without HC advantage against a 60+ win team. The act of "we don't care about them" is a little silly. They clearly cared when we played in the regular season and the only reason they say they don't is because they lost a couple of games.

 

They only say to disregard the regular season because they dropped two games to us.
