James Borrego is the new head coach of the Charlotte Hornets

Stephen Silas was one of the hottest names a couple years ago.

Surprised his name hasn’t been mentioned for any of these vacancies and especially more so for the Hornets.

 

I don't know him.

 

He's been interviewed but hasn't gotten a job.

I'm hoping the Rockets can add him to the staff for next season. Seems like players like him a lot but maybe not head coach material.

Remember how the Warriors were leaking that they were going to hire him as their lead assistant if we didn't make him the head coach? Then we passed on him and they said "nah nevermind."

 

Ah, I just haven’t seen anything as of late, but maybe you’re right. He could very well just be more of an assistant HC.

He seems to have a good mind for the game, but lacks the grit or aggression you need to lead.

I remember that, and I also remember the massive uproar when we picked MDA over him haha.

He interviewed for this job specifically as well as the Hawks. He might still get a job as I think he interviewed with the Hawks last week sometime. He's one of the finalists in Atlanta.

 

I hope he gets one of them. I’m really curious to see what he can do.

He deserved one. Not a bad move from Charlotte.
Spurs are going on a decline if Popovich, Manu and Parker retires within the next few seasons.
If that's the case, future South-west gonna be Rockets and Pelicans coming up on top.

Good, but they need to start over. Trade Kemba for a young player, try to get rid Dwight and or Batum. MKG also needs to go. If they had only drafted better.

 

Rockets Assistant GM Gerson Rosas interviewed with Charlotte for that HC job and was one of two finalists. Sucks that he didn't get it.

He was actually the coach I wanted when we hired Pringles. Glad to see him get a shot. Glad we got Pringles too.
