Rockets went up against tougher teams than GSW? You got to be kidding me right? What are you smoking? The Pelicans are a hell lot better than those handicapped Jazz that feature a slow center in Gobert which constantly getting exploited by the pick n roll of Paul and Harden. You won't see that with the Hampton's 5.

We definitely have a chance but I put zero stock into those regular season games and hope the team takes the same attitude. I'm pretty sure neither team gives a **** about the regular season games.

All the dismissals of the Rockets in the media is because GSW have turned it up since Curry has shaken off the rust. All the questions about GSW this year look to be answered and they are looking like the Powerhouse they were last year now that they aren't pacing themselves.

So I understand how GSW is the clear favourite against us BUT...
Why in the hell are many picking GSW in 5? Really? So they think the Rockets are at the same level as Spurs and Pelicans? That's BS.
What doesn't make sense is that the Rockets have not stepped a foot wrong in the playoffs. They have answered lingering questions about wilting in the playoffs, AND they have proven their defense can win games when shots aren't falling.
Rockets have breezed through their opponents exactly like GSW have.

    Per 36 minutes stats:
    Player A: 21ppg, 2.7 assists, 1.7 TO, .598 TS%
    Player B: 20.8ppg, 2.6 assists, 2.2 TO, .578 TS%

Klay Thompson is an overrated player. And don't feed me this recent history/hot hand crap

On big bold letters on the board: Where's Curry? Isolate him. Shadow him.

Swing the ball/ PNR/ etc., Beard, CP3 and EG better be iso-ing Curry repeatedly until he is banished to the shadow realm.

Curry is the heart of the Warrior's engine. Make him accountable and wear him out defensively. When GS has the ball, Rockets just got to rotate defender after defender to shadow/ pressure Curry 94 feet end to end. Just do it. Keep him off-balance. It worked for the Cavs, and the Rockets have the horses to dial it up several notches.

Double the defence, crush enemies. Win.

This series is going to at least 6 games. Book it. No way this Warriors team takes 2 out of 3 in Toyota Center and wins both games at home. This is the biggest challenge they've faced since KD sold his soul for a chip.

I think actual playoff stats are more relevant than Per 36 minute stats from the Regular season but that’s just me.

Klay’s actual playoff stats thru 9 games excluding tonight’s game.

    21ppg 4.6rpg 2.2apg 1.6to 45% from field and 39% from 3 and 100% FT 15/15

    Klay had 23/6/3 tonight

Eric Gordon actual playoff stats thru 9 games excluding tonight’s game.

    13.8ppg 2.4 rpg 1.3apg .9to 35% from field and 32% from 3 and 84% FT

    Gordon had 5/3/2 tonight.

This is not “recent history/hot hand crap” either. Klay has demonstrated that he performs at or better in the playoffs compared to his regular season with the exception of last year where he and the Warriors coasted to the Championship. He’s also shown that he can single handedly dominate and carry the Warriors when Steph was off prior to the arrival of KD.

Gordon on the other hand dating back to last years playoffs has dropped off significantly in the post season compared to what he does in the regular season not just his stats but play and confidence. He showed zero ability to step up and pick up the slack when Harden struggled.

I wish you could fool me with those irrelevant per 36 regular season stats but the fact of the matter is Eric Gordon has to step up big time. Plain and simple.

he will step up...in this entire playoffs he was just preserving health and energy for wcf because for him the health is priority

9 games is too small of a sample size to be predictive of anything. I'll always trust the larger sample size over magical thinking. Gordon hasn't had the chance to play enough games in the playoffs over his career yet to provide a stable sample size. I would expect over time that like KT, his stats would level out very close to his regular season performances (probably just slightly worse due to tougher defenses on average in the postseason).

GSW are hard to beat, BUT I think we can beat them 4 times in a series this year if a) Capela continues his play b) Harden plays like an MVP c) CP somewhat matches Curry's play d) Our role players contribute.
We need all the positive vibes for our team!
    I believe in our team!
    Go Rockets!
