Never saw this coming. Props to the OP. Capela not became a star, he is now a MONSTER on both sides of the court. In addition, Capela's fast rise to stardom tells me there is more room to grow so who knows how dominate he can become in three years.
capela is our x factor for sure. he is like... way more important to our success than i think we've realized. but we're starting to get it.
Is amazing the development this kid has had since he was drafted. His first few games, he looked like a deer in headlights out there...shot free throws attrociously.... ...and now...this. It's really hard for me to think of a player who so dramatically turned his game around as much as CC has. What a tribute to his mental toughness and work ethic. He's entered my top 5 favorite Rockets of all time with this playoff run he's had. 1. Dream 2. Yao 3. Vernon 4. Chuck Hayes 5. Clint Capela (Hon Mention: Patrick Beverley) All the above guys have one thing in common. THEY. BUST. THEIR. ASS. ON. THE. COURT.
Never saw it coming either. The improvement on defensive awareness has been something i never though a player could do in such a short period of time. Will become even better and i will def match ANY offer he gets.
Sounds preposterous right? Not really, unlike the big, tall stiffs centers of today's NBA, Clint is very fluid. That's the reason he is able to guard smaller, faster players. From this point forward, the sky is really the limit. Add a few more moves inside the paint and a mid range jumper, and he will be a superstar center.
