What do you get if we droppa da pizza on tha floor? Half offa da pizza!

What do you get if you're the 12th seed instead of the 13th seed? Jack. You get one ball extra.

In fact, studies show that Seattle(13) now gets a top 3 pick more often than Houston does from the 12 (ime, Seattle gets a pick more often from the 12 or the 13 but that's not the point of my rant).

Stop the madness! We're never going to get a top 3 pick unless the NBA computerizes the system... and clicks f5 87 times!

This is all academic. Stern has already determined who's gonna get the #1 pick.

Stern has already determined who's gonna get the #1 pick.

Who has the conspiracy picked? The Lakers?

    Lets examine the lotto teams:

    1. Chicago
    2. Golden State
    3. The Wiz
    4. The Grizz
    5. Atlanta
    6. New Jersey
    7. Cleveland
    8. Clippers
    9. Pistons
    10.Pacers
    11.Nuggets
    12.Rockets
    13.Sonics

Now if I were David Stern and I wanted to fix the lotto to make it favorable to the NBA, my 3 teams I'd want to see get the top 3 picks are Chicago, Washington, and Houston.

Chicago b/c of their market, Washington b/c of Jordan, and Houston b/c of the great young talent.

I was thinking about the Clippers, but I don't think Stern trusts them with the top pick since their owner will end up losing the player anyway.

If you were going to fix the draft, why wouldn't you fix it for the Rockets? [IMG]

BTW I dont believe this crap about fixing the draft, I'm just going along with the idea of fixing it.

I would have said NJ, but they won it last year. I just thought it was rather convenient that Chicago won it the year before.

Logically, if I were to fix it, I'd pick the Rockets. They have a good young nucleus and play exciting ball.

I wouldn't rule out Seattle. The league needs stars, and a young stud may make Payton an even bigger star.

I think Chicago would still have a good chance. Big market, young nucleus.

I'm not saying the lotto is an absolute fix, but I can see Stern using a "In the best interest of basketball...." scenario.

Heck, do the lotto balls live, that'll prove me wrong. Or maybe not.

If there was a conspiracy Seattle would probably not get any picks. Payton is probably going to get shipped out, Ewing is gone, they pray they can get Baker out of there, and Ruben Patterson may leave. Next year could be a rebuilding/transition year for Seattle, the unclear future leaves the conspiracy pick to some eastern team to balance out the talent. Since the Bulls have a lot of options Id say the Wiz get it by default.

They could have Bartles and James backing them up. errr... right... Stern can change/manipulate anything he wants.

I hope so! That would be two easy wins for the Rockets that I could attend, and I'm sure the Rockets will take care of easy teams next year.
