    What Would Rudy Do??

Rudy would let Mobley play is freaking heart out until he calls it quits!!! You've got to think there is some bond between the two....who knows, but...

    I love the Rockets!!!

I think Steve forgot to tell Cat that they had given up on the season and were in tank mode now.

I would prefer to believe that Steve is tanking it... that would help explain his performance last night. [IMG]

Not to take anything away from the Mavs, but they run a nice little zone. He didn't look like he was tanking to me. He was just off. It was wierd, because it wasn't one of those bad games where he was out of control, he only had 1 TO, and that's usually when Steve struggles....when he's outta control.

Well, Cuttino was quoted this afternoon as saying they have to "play out the string" [IMG] Sad, but true.

Good point, TPL... I didn't notice his TO's until I read what you said. You know, the damn Mav announcers wouldn't shut up about the good defense Finley was putting on Steve throughout the game, and I just thought they were talking out their asses... but maybe they were on to something.

It is still a sign of improvement that on an off night for Steve, he managed to only hurt the team by shooting poorly, which is not something a player has control over sometimes. He kept himself under control even though it was not his night.

I read this morning's quotes from Mobley saying that he wanted to play them out. He hates to lose, and he will still play them out.

What was the context of that quote edc.

Cuttino didn't mean they were tanking by that statement. He later on went to say that "there are some good teams coming up who could embarass us, and we all need to be on the same page." He's just saying the team needs to be more focused.

    It's all about pride

Surely the whole team/club/city wants to take some sort of winning sequence into next season, especially the rate at which this team is improving.
