A few years ago, I created a thread called "She's sleeping on the couch" about my girlfriend and I breaking up because I wasn't ready to get married. ClutchFans came through with the usual thoughtful advice, wisdom and support. And now I thought I'd share an update: Within days of the thread, we got back together. I spent time working on my own insecurities, better understanding me, and trying to be present in the relationship. Things improved tremendously and I proposed 15 months ago. We just got married — it's easily the best decision I've ever made. I'm excited to introduce Mr. & Mrs. Gatsby: Thank you to all.
@gatsby congrats! Marriage is what you make it. I wish y'all well and had I known she was so pretty I would have been more forceful in my response that you should just f'n propose already.
Congratulations! I just re-read that old thread. If you had followed my advice of posting a pic back then, I could have told you she is marriage material 2 years ago!
