I still think we can win the series es but we have to earn it. Too many were taking it for granted that it would be a Rox Warriors WCF. I think it can still happen but that is earned and not given

Rockets didn't come out with any fire. Utah exploited the switching defense with slip screens causing the Rockets to get confused on when to switch. Tony Brothers. But the main reason is the Rockets didn't come out to play. They think they are too good to try.

Yes, but we left him wide open. That won't happen again.

If he can knockdown contested threes then more power to him, but you won't see him standing in the corner uncontested again.

It is an important loss and could extend the series. But it is 1 out of 4 needed, not time to panic.

Rockets can absolutely win in Utah if they compete like they did since they were down 17; if they compete like they did in G5 at Minneapolis. And they will. Talk about homecourt advantage, but Utah won't make much more shots than today at Houston...They made ton of huge shots.

Dantoni has some work to do at hiding Harden defensively.

What went wrong is that we basically didn't play in the first half and we gifted them a 20 point lead...we came back but stopped playing defense again with 5/6 minutes to go, left them wide open 5 consecutive times and they made all five shots.

Curious the game plan on leaving him wide open all game.

I don't care if they lose game 4 but they ABSOLUTELY have to win game 3. Must win scenario

Why? Jazz are 0-2 vs the Rockets at home and 1-5 overall.

Simple as this, don’t get down by 20 and we should win. Every Jazz player had the game of their life and every Rockets role player was garbage. Going to be tough to replicate that.

saw parts of the game before turning it off in the 4th. this team doesn't deserve our viewership if they're going to go out with that kind of effort. bad effort on defense and pringles was questionable with his rotations.

hell i bet rubio would have made 5 consecutive 3's too had he played tonight.

hats off to them for coming prepared and showing up. seems like they did their research during the days off and made serious preparations while the rockets were watching the avengers and high fiving each other.

    and mitchell... my goodness.

I was concerned about our shooting because I expected better defense from the Jazz. I didn't expect our defense to collapse. It's on the players, and MDA too. It's a major loss. Even if we split a game on the road, there is no guarantee that we can close it out in Houston.
Defense first from the opening tip, till the last second is the only way we can win this series.

I was afraid of this. Nearly every easy win is followed by lackadaisical play. I expected CP3 would bring some sense of urgency with him, instead it seems like he got suckered in the aloof attitude this team is displaying much too often.

We had been GIFTED an injured team the same way GSW had during their first championship run, and we can't capitalize on it. NOP is currently significantly better than Utah and they don't stand a chance against even Curry-less Warriors, while we...UGH. Don't know what to say, this team makes me so mad sometimes.

You sure it won't happen again? We seem to do a great job of allowing it to happen time and time again.

1-1 is not a big deal. Spurs/Lakers did that all the time in their championship years.
But history of MDA, Harden and CP3 makes me worried.

and hanging out on a message board screaming chicken little is NOT GOING TO CHANGE A DAMN THING either.

It's just a lot less stressful for us old f*ckers to keep even keel and not jump off a cliff 2 games into a 7 game series

This was a mental loss. For whatever reason, despite the stats and the fact that we didn't play terrible, we lost.

I hate the Jazz but I will give them their due. Everyone is talking about how a Rockets Warriors WCF is given. The Rox are buying into that but if I was on the Jazz I would post that on my locker, make that my screensaver and remind my players that everyone is thinking they are just an after thought.

This team is more talented than Utah but they play with heart and we dont. I also dont trust Dantoni going forward in this coaching matchup. Some of the guys on this team are not cut out for the playoffs. Sucks but that how it is

This happened last year. We win 1 game in San Antonio and everyone was saying prepare for the warriors.. Didn't they lose the next 4 and Hardin didn't even show up for game 5. Looks like same old rockets
