After I read another thread, maybe I misjudged the players wanting to make the playoffs. They just haven't played very smart lately. And Rudy's lineups are weird; but that could be a result of injuries to players that we know or don't know about. But I don't agree with the sentiment about Hakeem. If he says he wants to play here next year, and if we have the $$$ (after we grab, say, Marc Jackson and re-sign Mo---apparently Webber won't come here), then we do it. You folks obviously don't disagree with calling certain players names, because you hammer Cato every day. What irks you is the fact I told the truth about Hakeem. Dream tanked half of this year because he was either sulking, or hoping to be traded. If Hakeem would have given 100% effort, the Rockets would be headed to the playoffs. It sickens me that an athlete can get paid so much money, not exhibit any effort for several games, and then manipulate the press and the fans so everybody feels sorry for him. Jack I agree with you in a way, but not the way you put it. I don't think Dream tanked, and I wouldn't call him a whiny b****. But I think Dream caused to much of a distraction while begging to be cut or traded. That was my problem. And while I don't think Dream didn't try the first half of the season, I don't think he played with the fire and passion he's playing with now for whatever reason. But Dream definitely isn't the reason the Rockets are where they are now. It would have helped the Rocks if he came out with a little more fire, but what's to say that he hadn't burned himself out by now? And it would have helped if Cato actually showed some fire. We know what Dream can do, but Cato isn't doing crap and it's killing us. ------------------ Meow!
