Cato just twisted his ankle. They re-taped it and he's back in the game. The Rockets defense is really good. The Nuggets are taking awful shots and the Rockets are contesting everything. I hope they keep playing this kind of defense for the rest of the season. Hell, I'd take it for the rest of this game. :D

40-28 always sounds a lot bigger than, say, 36-24.

The Rockets are just playing with a TON of confidence right now. If they could just get the turnovers under control, they'd be in business. But, otherwise, they look great.

He really needs to get stronger with the ball. This was something Hakeem had to learn against more complex double teams.

By the way, did anyone catch the adjustment JVG made when they started doubling Yao? He went to that triangle with one player at the three point line near the baseline, another at the three point line free throw line extended and Yao on the box. The other two guys were clear on the other side out of the play.

What was so smart is that the Nuggets were double teaming with big men making it tough on Yao, but JVG had two guards on Yao's side with the SF and PF on the opposite side. Very, VERY smart basketball. The Nuggets didn't get another double team on Yao after that adjustment.

Can anyone tell me why Yao got the T?

BTW, the offense looked great. Houston made the Nuggets look like a total fluke.

that yao pass.....ohh my god that was freakin awesome. last year we saw the no look over the head pass, but that was to someone trailing right behind him. this time, cat was 12 feet away and he shot that over-the-head no looker through 3 defenders and across the lane 8 foot to cat who took 3 dribbles to the 3-line and nailed a homerun. that made my night.

Our offence vastly improves by allowing Yao to take those 17/18 ft shots! Now, high pick and roll becomes our most powerful weapon. With Francis, Cat and Yao all able to known down the shots. Who are you going to defend? :)

It was a defensive three seconds violation.

Steve Francis is playing excellent ball... I've got to give him props....he's patient and getting everyone involved...& he's not buying the fakes of Andre Miller on D so far...

but with every compliment I have a gripe...I wish he could push the ball like Jason Kidd, Steve Nash, & Gary Payton...he has the handles to do it...pushing the ball all they way to the paint does not mean that you have to shoot the ball but at least you can see if the opportunity to score presents itself. At the same time, you do want to move the ball around and pass it up the court if there is a ball handler in the front court....

Is anyone guarding Carmello Anthony? Why, with him shooting like this, would you EVER leave that guy alone???

Put up a defense, OK? 29 points allowed in 9 minutes, what is that?

LOL. Where was the Rocket defence? Giving up 29 points in less than one quarter, and mainly to a rookie? :(

the problem is we need francis... norris is just a joke....

The other thing is this rockets team are too turnover prone. Yao, Francis, MoT, Cato, Norris are all turnover machine....:(
