Nah Royce needs to stop acting like a big baby and crying like a little b**** because his beloved Westbrooks went home in the first round again.

****ing embarrassing. "Grown ass man" on TV crying because his team lost. LOLOLOL

Maybe I need to make one of Royce as well.

Now if you want to go cry with Westbrook, Royce & the Thunder, be my guest.

Lord knows durvasa loves him some Thunder & Westbrook and hates Harden/Rockets. Or maybe it's the contrarian shtick @Blurr#7, @vlaurelio and others have mentioned.

To me Durvasa just seems like a guy who enjoys playing contrarian. He's that guy that enjoys being on the debate team way too much in his free time.

Edit: I see @J.R. beat me to the contrarian thing. I remember him doing the same in defense of Blake Griffin on that undercut foul, a while ago. Don't be too mean, Rockets fans, even if the opponent was wrong! Let's do some logical gymnastics so that we don't victimize the bully!

Just admit you are conflating desire to see the Rockets win with a tribalistic need to denigrate anyone who doesn’t like the Rockets or how they play.

If he just wanted to change the gather rule then so be it. But he wanted to change specifically the way Harden uses it. I don’t know what his opinions on Durant rip through was but I’m gonna hazard a guess and say he thought it was a “basketball” “intelligent” play.

If someone like Zach Lowe or JVG want to tell me Hardens move is BS I would disagree but I would at least contemplate whether I am just being a homer. But if you have a track record of having no objectivity even if you say something objective, no one will interpret as such. This is what it means to have journalist integrity and being a professional at your job. Without it you’re just a hack.

I am pretty consistent in my behavior on this board over these past seveal years in this regard: Internet mob attacks bother me and I will reflexively push back against things that come out of that I don’t agree with in an attempt to quell the anger/attacks. Some people don’t like that and their attacks are redirected towards me. And what ensues is a tiresome back and forth that generally leads no where positive.

It’s not contrarianism, and it certainly isn’t an anti-Rockets bias. But I am not surprised you can’t see the difference.

Which Blake Griffin play are you talking about? The one this year where he grazed past our coach and people here thought he got away with an egregious assault on the floor (which later the league reviewed and decided didn’t happen)?

I don’t remember the undercut play.

    *Sees large group*

    *Takes opposite position*

*Confused as to why there isn't acquiescence to contrarian position*

*Confused as to why subsequently labeled contrarian*

    Seems to all check out:rolleyes:

“Contrarianism” with respect to what? Be straight.

I am saying it is inappropriate to mock a guy who appears to be distraught when you know he has some personal issues he is going through.

In what perverse universe is that a “contrarian” take?

I don't have anything against durvasa. But yes anyone who hates the step back three because harden does but not with anyone else is biased, homering for his boyfriend and a moron. And let's admit it, media is full of biased morons, which is why harden was left off all 3 all-nba teams 2 years ago when Dwight cratered our season. You can argue last year's MVP all you want (should have gone to Harden) but not even 3rd NBA all team? Embarrassing the media bias against Harden, even this year how many people are begrudging how he was so good they were"forced" to vote for him.

Did durvasa hate hardens 2 pt stepbacks before? Or he just started hating it when it became most valuaable to rockets success?

Who made the all-nba teams that year? I don’t remember. I’ve mostly blocked that Rockets season from my memory. It sucked.

There was no Royce Young tweet.

    1. Royce Young slandered Harden on a podcast
    2. Royce Young cried on TV after the Thunder lost
    3. A female relative of Royce Young tweeted that he was crying because his brother had surgery

    Now here we are.

I didn’t listen to Young’s comments on Harden’s step back move from the OP until just now.

    My summary:

He was asked by the other guy to comment on “Harden’s traveling” and give his “hottest” and “most volanic” hot take in a distilled sound byte. That’s when he jokingly made the comment that Harden is destroying pro sports (to laughs). He was not being entirely serious with that comment.

Later someone makes a comment that the league needs to crack down on it, and he responds “it’s a travel” and then says that he understands the gather rule but Harden is changing his pivot feet. I don’t know if he has just one particular step back play in mind, but generally speaking he is totally wrong and this has been explained by NBA refs multiple times.

Has he responded to the explanations given by refs defending the step back move? I don’t follow him all that closely, but maybe someone else knows.
