Instead of rally towels can we pass out magical underwear for everyone to swing around? I cannot stand Jazz fans.

He's got a point. And I can see how this type of thing can get under your skin as a player. But he is totally wrong for engaging a fan(s) for any reason what so ever.

But he is the exact type of player that attracts the hecklers out of the woodwork. He is both overly reactive on the court and off. He draws fans like a magnet to screw with him.

Didn't the fan make contact with him?

Edit: Watched again. No, the fan just reached out.

This whole incident does raise the question, though: What IS allowable fan behavior? Where is that line?

He won’t be. I dislike both but you can’t be borderline getting ready to assault fans like that. The NBA let’s this clown get away with everything

He left the bench to go fight and didn’t even get suspended

Some day Westbrook will go full Ron Artest on a fan and the NBA will pretend like there were no warning signs.

    Westbrook is totally unhinged.

He tried to bait Jazz players into a fight on at least 3 separate occasions in game 4 and the referees bent over backwards trying not to eject him from the game.

All this coddling by the media, his team, the NBA -- combined with his playoff futility -- will some day cause the lid to blow off from his fragile psychotic mentality. Unfortunately, there will only be more excuses given when it happens.

Amin Elhasson, Jason Whitlock, and Colin Cowherd are like the only people in tv sports talk that can see this and choose to speak out on his behavor. Rachel Nichols and the rest of the panel on the jump look at his actions and baby him like he is a 11 year old

From what I saw, the fan was just filming Westbrick walking back into the tunnel after a pathetic, ball hogging, selfish, series ending loss. Westbrook was pissed and tried to knock the phone out of that fan's hand.

Westbrook should be fined and suspended. He can't take out his frustration of losing and being taunted on this one particular guy. Whatever the other fans were saying that was vulgar and disrespectful has nothing to do with the phone incident.

These are two different issues that need to be dealt with independently.

I live in Utah and I go every time the Rockets are in town. The Jazz do have some very proud and loyal fans. And the trash talking makes the games that much more fun. Westbrook is just a bad loser, not many other stars that react like him.

Excited to say that I’ll be attending game 3 and will be repping my Harden jersey at the game. Go Rockets!

Heckling has been apart of sports forever. Literally for as long as we have had sports. Fans power is to yell loudly & try to say anything that may get under the opposing players skin. This is apart of sports, it's part of the culture of sports. I don't necessarily like it, some of the things that may be said, but I understand. As long as it stops with language and doesn't progress to throwing objects.

Sorry Westbrook, fans know how to hit a nerve and turn you into a baby.

Jazz fans are the worst and any true Rockets fan knows that the Jazz are our natural enemy. Russ is just a fleeting concern. The Utah Jazz will forever be our nemesis, and their fans by proxy.

Russ is a quick tempered knucklehead but he's not wrong about Jazz fans. They're pretty trashy and they always have been.

Harden deals with way worse from the media and opposing fans. I was in Portland one game during the horrible 2016 season when harden scored 46 points and the heckling was disguisting.. But Harden got the win and just walked off the court. Harden like Kobe knows the best way to silence a crowd is to tear their hearts out

What if Harden responding to all of the twitter crap he gets online like Durant

man we as rockets fans are lucky to have this guy

I just wish Harden had a Brian windhorst or royce young, like Lebron and Westbrook do working for them all the time and put out damage controlling articles when something contrevsial happens

The NBA gives fans the ability to get that close to the players. It is a selling point.

If this tweet is true, then either WB heard the fan wrong, or he's embellishing to the point of lying. This is just good, fun fan trash talking.

This should be required reading. 100% on point.

Westbrook is the point guard version of DeMarcus Cousins. Everything gets under his skin and he gets away with a lot. He's athletic and talented but he's also extremely sensitive, hot-headed and selfish -- yet so many ignore these aspects of him.

I've been to several Rockets-Jazz games in Utah in my day and I know well what Jazz fans can be like, but to make this a referendum on them to AGAIN give Russ a pass is shameless.
