Not my type of movie but I enjoyed it. I prefer horror with demonic type ****. I do recommend it though.
Trailers made me laugh at the depths hipsters will go to flip a broken house in the "middle of nowhere".
Refreshing to see a movie that does not rely on big explosions or car chases or stunts or robots to carry the story to its brisk semi-conclusion. At first the lack of spoken communication and the need to move around quietly was disconcerting, like watching TV on mute or very low volume then I began to appreciate it.
Craftsmanship and performances are top notch. It's best not to think about the general conceit too much because it kind of falls apart. I enjoyed but I thought it did lose a little steam in the final act.
Is there a bigger ass-kissing campaign than the one John Krasinski and Emily Blunt are on right now (meaning everyone is kissing their butts over this film and they are nothing but good times and all smiles)? Good for them. America's new favorite Hollywood married couple. Just hope they can stay grounded.
Really good movie. Unique and it was a fun experience to see it in the theater. I didn't realize how much sound people make eating their popcorn or opening candy. You could tell people were trying not to make a sound during much of the movie.
Just saw this. So happy I was able to catch it in theaters. What a gem of a horror/thriller movie. Literally had me on the edge of my seat almost the entire time. Definitely give this movie a shot while it's still on the big screen.
