Good point. But I'll say (as a typical Giles defender) that he's pitched in different climates and should have been aware enough to not throw his first one in a moment when a HR meant tie game. Or he should have seen in his warmups that some were cement mixing themselves into oblivion.
Amid all the Astros and Rockets mania this week, if any time left I'll root for the Yanks to slaughter the Red Sox. Hoping that is a good series (on ESPN it better be).
Shameless plug. I’m going to be front row in the third base line just past the Stros dugout tonight wearing my orange Altuve jersey. I’m going to be there with a dog for Houston. Look for me in TV!
McCann is slashing .464/.531/.964 against Odorizzi on 13/28 and 2 BB. Wow lol those are some impressive career numbers against a single pitcher.
The Astros have won all their games when Correa grounds/lines into multiple double plays. He just needs one more to ensure a win.
Keuchel right now is such a contrast from the other starters. His control and command has been elite which has made him an elite pitcher but he has a much lower margin of error than the other starters on the staff currently.
I would look to trade Keuchel during the trade deadline. We know Luhnow is not offering him the money is dreaming about.
