So, inside the ring they have the playoff series results written. I don't understand the point of that as you can't get to it...can you? Is it just knowing it's inside the ring that makes it special? It's like the fortune inside a fortune cookie you can't break open.
It’s on the inside of the ring as in the part of the band that is touching your finger. Not actually inside of the ring.
Was hoping uptown would get the the ring deal. I got to see the prototypes as I happened to go in for an engagement ring while they were in the design process. I got to see it and hear the story behind all the details. They did a specialized ring for at least the main players if not everyone.. I was blown away with all the details. Every diamond and stone has meaning even the how many diamonds and stones...it was crazy. They are amazing
Some folks speculated we might have some sort of WS hangover. Someone did, the Dodgers (offense: .596 OPS before todays game which they lost) 2-5 record
“Astros owner Jim Crane is paying for 1332 WS rings and all of the taxes. Uncle Drayton would have given the employees a coupon for 50% off Sheriff Blaylock's Kickin' Nachos.”
It sure is odd (in a good way) to look at the NBA and MLB standings and see Houston the top team in both.
It's not odd to me anymore, the Rockets and Astros both have super elite front offices. As long as you have that you are golden, particularly in baseball which isn't so star dependent. I was still a little on the fence about Luhnow last summer, wasn't sure if he had the deal making skills to get us over the hump. But starting with the Verlander and Cole trades, and then locking up Tuve, there are no more questions to be asked. This truly is the golden era of Houston sports right now, I hope everybody is appreciating that.
