Weird, Heisman winner and a historical year, stat-wise and he doesn't enter the draft. If he stays true to his word, I think it will do nothing but hurt his draft status.

I dont see how any thing could hurt his draft staus anymore that it already is. He's not high on any NFL teams radar cause he not mobile at all due to his knee injuries.

I'm thinking a career ending injury would hurt his draft status more than it already is. That's always a possibility if you play another year. And I doubt he could raise his stock too much more than it is since it would be damn near impossible to have a better offensive year than the one he just had, so it doesn't make a lot of sense to not declare now, to my way of thinking.

"We graciously accept this invitation to the Holiday Bowl. This is a major accomplishment for our players, fans and coaches. It's particularly meaningful to our seniors -- to get to play in a bowl game of this caliber."

It had something to do with his knee injuries, he was like redshirted then he has knee problems or something, and some how because of his injury he was allowed to have a 6th year. Not real sure just heard about them talking about it on The Best Damn Sports Show

Not happening. Look for Thompson and Bomar to redshirt next year....Grady might leave though.

And as for hurting his draft status: Not happening, unless he tears up a knee again. Scouts have told people close to him that if he plays another great year he'd be at least 3rd round next year....if he went this year it'd probably be 5 or 6.

    At LEAST 3rd round...lol...

If Grady leaves, I'm sure UT would love to have him. Somethings got to give with Thompson, Bomar, and Grady.

Bo Scaife (Texas TE) got a 6th year of eligiblity also. He had a similar situation with hurting his knees twice (maybe 3 times including HS).

Not bad considering he has no knees. Chrissy with 2 good knees barely went 3rd round...;)

I'm sure Texas would love to have Grady, but I doubt he'd give up 2 years of eligibility to go there..:p

He had to get special dispensation from the NCAA. I had never heard of this before either.

"We graciously accept this ass raping by The University of Texas. This is par for the course for our players, fans and coaches. It's particulary meaningful to our baseball team, because as a member of the Rice athletic department, it's mandated to always mention our one athletic success. As a university, we've reached our goal--to win a championship of any caliber."

    1. We were talking about football. You know, that sport (among many) where Rice sucks homophobe ass.

    2. I'm sure I speak for all UT fans when I say I'd definitely trade our 36 NCAA Championships for your one. Any day of the week. We're jealous. I mean, seriously, the 2003 CWS. There's nothing better. That's so great. Seriously, the 2003 CWS. I'd trade all 36 UT NCAA Championships for that one 2003 CWS. I'm guessing UCLA would trade all 90 for that one 2003 CWS Championship. Stanford would gladly say "**** off" to their 85 NCAA Championships for that one 2003 CWS Championship. God, we're all so jealous. Oh my God, I just can't get over how that 2003 CWS Championship is better than UT's 36 Championships combined, including that crappy 2002 CWS Championship. Honestly, is there a greater pinnacle than the 2003 CWS Championship? Top 5 Football? Final Four Men and Women's Basketball? CWS participant? Top 15 numerous other sports? Nah, that one 2003 CWS Championship is all that matters. That's so fresh.

Go ahead, break out the "RM95 didn't go to UT card", I'm not expecting it or anything.

What a meltdown. Wow. I can't believe someone would use judgment that poor and words that vulgar.

Hatfield: Don't look at each other when taking showers, guys. Rice can't afford private showers and I don't want any gays on my team.

    Henderson: Okay Coach.

Graham: Nice looking boys you got there Hatfield.

Hatfield: What were you doing in the showers?

Graham: Something I picked up at Texas.
