Isn't it a great feeling not having to succumb to the last game of the season hoping the Spurs lose so that we can get 2nd in the west
I mean that stuff is pretty captivating and exciting lol But I much prefer the bore of this regular season
We still have the entertainment of watching the teams seeded 4-10 trying to make the playoffs and possibly get home court in the first round. Plus the suspense of who the Rockets and Warriors will face in the opening round.
Was that the season where we beat Utah by plenty in the final game, and the Pelicans beat the Spurs? And we could have dropped to 5th or 6th depending on these final games? Good times...
With the Spurs/Wolves injured and playing like crap, UTH and NO may be our only hope to force OKC into the 6/7 seed. Wolves lost to the Grizz.... Come on, man!
Just looked at the remaining schedules and my guess is that SA will finish in 8th, Minny in 7th, and Utah/NewOrl/OKC will be in a 3-way tie. 3-way tiebreaker is winning % for all games against teams involved in the tie... OKC: 3-3 (@ NO on Sun) NO: 3-3 (vs OKC on Sun) UTH: 4-4 Looks like the Sunday NO vs OKC game will be key.
So glad we're not battling for that ****in 8th seed like we use to and getting that ****in 14th pick.
