Where the hell is your poll dude?

    Nobody touches Hakeem and Clyde.

    No freaking contest.

I think you mis-understood my. I said physical prime.

Hakeem was the best basketball player on the plannet both years that we won the championship. He skill level was at an all time high as well but he had already peaked with his physical prime.

Just a couple of years earlier he had been averaging 13 -14 rebounds a game and 3.5 to 4+ blocks a game. Thats not to say that he was somehow not a physical speciman but just not as much as he was earlier in his career. That's all I meant. Dream was still the best though.

I'd say Hakeem-Clyde as well. In theory, maybe Akeem-John Lucas, but they didn't play together long enough and Lucas was gone before the '86 playoffs. :(

Great description by GocartMozart of the Twin Towers days with Lucas, Wiggins, Lloyd, and McCray on the break and Olajuwon and Sampson as the trailers. That team could've been Showtime till the mid 90s if the three guards hadn't sniffed away their careers.

Anyone interested in seeing these early years would be well advised to seek out a friend with a copy of the "Hakeem the Dream" video....
