Another reason to dislike McFail. Royce White was his own pick and he forced Maury to draft him with the 16th. SMH What a head scratching pick
I was going to laugh but this is serious matter. He needs help. Ask him to fly over to Houston to discuss things in person.
It just sounds antithetical to everything Morey seems to be - if you're super analytical you aren't ignoring mental issues, you aren't pretending they don't exist or trying to tell someone to get over it. Just seems weird.
I spoke with Royce White briefly a few years ago in Minnesota. He was living in my apartment building at the time, I think. He was super friendly and down to earth. He’d say “Hey, what’s up?” whenever we crossed paths subsequently. I guess it was shortly before he joined the Canadian league. That changed my perception of him as some sort of diva, which was the narrative here. I think he raises good points in that article. I love the Rockets, but I don’t feel they handled that situation the right way.
I've dealt extensively with a person like Royce White. The psychological needs drive the self-image, which drives the chosen narrative, which drives the accusations. You shouldn't assume that anything he says is accurate.
They literally paid him to go away. We couldn't give him what he wanted because it was illegal under the CBA.
Probably upset that DeRozan and Love are getting all the love for turning mental health into a conversation in the NBA/Pro sports versus him. At the time, he probably hurt the cause more than anything.
too bad he's a garbage player with a bloated ego with worse work ethics, or else we would have actually played him
