Its a knucklehead move because he pushed him into the front row as opposed to um the ground on the opposite side. I'm all for sports theatrics but if Green wanted to show he's bout it he should've squared up and two pieced Dieng in the jaw. When you interact with fans in a negative manner ie; physical altercation, it opens the league up to litigation which will in turn negatively effect the image of the league and at the end of the day the league will render measures that will diminish the fan experience

GG probably isn't the sharpest knife in the drawer, but he could be smart enough to know he shouldn't pull that crap off in the playoffs.

You say this like he doesn't have postseason experience. He was a legitimately useful role player for the Celtics in the playoffs last year.

A dumb, out-of-control Gerald Green who hits 35% of his threes is still >>> Joe Johnson.

Do you really think GG or any player is going to process all that in the heat of the moment? He saw CP3 get shoved to the ground and his immediate reaction was to retaliate and deal with the consequences later.

Football, Baseball, Hockey there multiple examples you can pull up of players "Having someone's back" Why would this be any different? I don't think guys being from the back street or getting robbed or beat down has nothing to do with this. It's protecting your teammates - been going on for years - an that wont change. Regardless of how you feel how CP3 went down - you have to protect your players!

OMG, he tapped Paul, Paul is rolling on the ground. It's an attack on our guys. Get him!!!!! Protect him, and save him. He is in danger. Show him you've got his back in this brutal attack. Show them you aren't gonna back down, regardless of the consequences. The sky is falling the sky is falling. Panic is in the air.

    Give me a break.

People need to just Keep Calm and Carry On.

He didn't need protection from a little one handed tap. That is my point. He didn't punch Paul in the mouth, kick him between the legs, or elbow him in his face.

Its easy to say that now after watching the reply.. But in the heat of the moment if I see my guy get pushed down - you better believe i'm pushing that guy for doing that. There is a reason why CP3 is paying the fine.

I guess thats a perspective as a fan of the game - But if i'm a player i want that guy in my locker room - There is a reason that the Draymon Greens are considered the Heart and soul of that GS team. An it has nothing to do with him being more talented than anyone on that team

lol now thats a true knucklehead melo anthony type move you're advocating for

stop crying about the push..green push dieng when they were still both inbounds.. its wasn't strong enoough to send dieng flying to the rows.. and its not greens fault the minny arena had like a foot of clearance between the court and the first row

Well then that explains why he should not and probably has not been on the floor lately. This is why I love PJ so much. If you watch PJ during the game he's always getting some get back and he never gets caught because he's smart, he uses his brain. If PJ were in that situation he would've went and picked CP3 off the floor, talked **** to Dieng about getting a tech and the next time Dieng tries to post him up it would be a solid knee to the thigh or an elbow to the ribs. As an athlete in his situation, he's gotta be a couple steps ahead with controlling his emotions and I'm fairly certain that coach Lucas is not happy with him and you know MDA is not happy, not after the way his team lost to the Spurs in 07, he's probably having flashbacks. So I expect Double G to be firmly planted to the bench during the playoffs unless its a blowout

Sorry - that was a bone-headed play by Green - it wasn't a big push on CP3 and Green could have just gone up and pushed him gently - but he body checked him into the first row fans. That's going to get him suspended for at least a game.

Not worth it. Has his back? That was nothing.

Green can win double digit, jj can win single digit. We lose to Raptors. Mda should use green instead of jj

Oh no! The NBA is gonna put him where Mike puts him: Out of action! Out of sight! Out of mind! Oh no! ;)

Good job, good effort Gerald. Take **** from no one.

Lmao I know right. Please suspend him for the game that Pringles wasn't going to play him anyways.

Can you have both a DNP CD & Suspended as a status?!?!

    GG? No. Other players? Yes.

Not everyone in the NBA is emotionally impulsive like GG. That's one of the knocks on him. Being hot-headed may be popular with the fans, but it isn't good on the court where cooler heads win games. Angry about something someone did? Then show it in your play, not in your maturity level.
