I liked it. Dieng Didn't didn't really push cp down but he was posturing over him. Green don't play that

Sometimes a coach doesn't know best.

Besides this is probably MDAs public response BUT

In the locker room it's "I like your passion Green, I do....but listen.....in the playoffs we can't have that"

GG is freaking great. What he did was save CP3 from having to push back and get into an altercation himself. There's no way CP3 would have or should have let that go. But before CP3 had a chance to stand up for himself, GG had already handled the situation. No risk of injury to our HOF point gaurd. No risk of suspension of our HOF point gaurd. Instead it's our 10th man taking the risk. He probably wouldn't see any time next game anyway.

The bottom line is I love it. That kind of stuff goes along way with people. The Rockets players have no doubt where GG stands and whether he has their backs or not. Give me a teammate like GG any day.

I think Ariza and Tucker would have done the same thing.

As far as coaches and TV commentators go, what are they going to say? Great job pushing a player into the stands? No way. They have to denounce it even if they think otherwise.

The interviews I really want to hear about this are from his teammates. A move like this is for the brotherhood above all else. If his boys see this as honoring them, it is all worth it. Cohesion is a big part of what makes a team special. MDA said the right things, and fairly represented his perspective...it just isn't the perspective I am most concerned about personally.

I may get flamed here. But I think CP3 embellished a bit on that Dieng push. GG thought it was a big deal.

I think the ejection should be good enough in place of a suspension. Probably a fine will come which CP3 says he will pay which just shows this team’s togetherness

And I will say I love it. Not like I need anymore reasons to have adoration for Green. He will learn from this and be smarter if this happens again especially in the playoffs. But this also sends a message to other teams that they don’t want it with the Rockets mayne

To be fair, GG was behind Dieng. From his perspective, he saw a shove and then CP3 went down rather hard.

That's what I was trying to say. GG thought it was a big deal because he saw CP3 falling hard. But in reality, it wasn't that hard of a push.

Yep 10th 11th player green saw his teammate got pushed and he pushed back and made sure he got his point across

Thats the teammate the rockets been wanting and needing if they plan to go deep in the playoffs against wb, lillard, turner, dray, zaza, west, smart, ibaka, etc

Not the teammate who would do absolutely nothing or hit back with something soft

Ejection was not warranted and a suspension would be way too much. So he pushed a guy into the crowd a bit, it wasn't that excessive. However, Green has to know better than that and read the situation. CP3 flopped like a b**** and he should've known, but I have more beef with CP3 in this case. Stop the acting job, luckily we haven't seen it as much as in Clipperland, but this is exactly why I hated CP3 before.

I also don't like it that our coach tells to the media how he feels about it to be honest. Just say, he did what he did and we deal with it within the team. Now you give the league the perfect opportunity to punish Green and make him feel like he's not supported. Not liking that one bit! You just know MDA will not play him because of this.

To those who feel he's low IQ or too emotional, maybe so, but at least he has that fire and it can help come play-off time. In terms of basketball IQ, maybe so, but he has no conscience and can light it up. He's no Maxwell, but it's close in terms of being emotional, backing up guys and taking many threes when they're good off the dribble too. And we loved Vernon for it!! So not sure why people think it's a low IQ move now...it was in the moment and it's good to back up your teammate.

Gerald Green did the right thing, the NBA rules are wrong Gorgui Dieng should've been thrown out with a Flagrant 2 and Gerald with just a Technical. Gorgui Dieng after the incident was pointing at Chris Paul. The refs are awful. If we don't have gritty players like Gerald Green, PJ Tucker, Ariza, Chris Paul. James Harden know self defense taking boxing lessons as workouts we are not winning a Championship, without that Fight and Desire. That is how the NBA works. The old Pistons, Bulls, Celtics, Lakers Championship Teams all had a few players that played that role. Even Wayne Gretzky needed players that protect him.

No need to do that when we are head and shoulders above the opponent.

    I'm with you.
I like the fact that he had his back, but he hurt the team by overreacting. In the playoffs teams will target the mentally weaker players to get the team out of rythm.
I loved the fact that Chris picked up the bill though. That's having a teamate's back.

Yeah but he wanted to make sure Dieng fell over like Dieng did to CP3. Green did the right thing. No will like to admit it. Teams feel like they have to poke their chest out against us for some reason.
