This is a 6 o'clock CST game , The earliest we ever play .

WASHINGTON (Ticker) -- The Washington Wizards will try to put together just their fourth winning streak of the year when they host the struggling Houston Rockets.

Richard Hamilton scored a career-high 41 points and tied career highs with nine rebounds and eight assists in Washington's 116-100 win over Golden State on Thursday.

The Wizards have won back-to-back games on two occasions and had a five-game winning streak in January.

The Wizards shot a season-high 58 percent (45-of-78) and held a dominating 51-32 edge on the boards, led by Jahidi White and Michael Smith.

White scored 21 points, tied a career-high with 16 rebounds and blocked three shots while Smith grabbed 12 rebounds and handed out six assists.

Hamilton has been on fire of late, averaging 27.8 points in his last six games.

Houston had won 16 of 20 games and was making a run at the eighth and final playoff spot in the Western Conference, but has lost three of its last four to fall 3 1/2 games behind eighth-place Minnesota.

The Rockets suffered a 90-85 loss to Phoenix on Thursday. In his second game back after missing nine with a blood disorder, Hakeem Olajuwon led the Rockets with 20 points and 11 rebounds.

Moochie Norris had 15 points off the bench while Steve Francis and Cuttino Mobley had 13 points apiece but combined to shoot just 11-of-33 from the field.

Houston will try to sweep the season series from Washington for the first time since the 1996-97 season. The Rockets captured a 99-89 victory over the Wizards in Houston on February 13.

Washington won the last game between the teams here, 103-92, on December 26, 1999.

My god MoesTavern, that close? These next two games should be easy wins.
    Rockets: 100
    Wizards: 79

    Rockets: 113
    Nets: 68

    ------------------
Hakeem "The Dream" Olajuwon is the greatest player in the history of basketball. If you disagree, you are not a Rocket fan.

    Rockets 97
    Wizards 83

I DON'T think it will even be THAT close, but everytime I pick the Rockets to win by a large margin, they fall behind by 50 and BARELY squeak a win out (see Atlanta [IMG]).

    Rockets: 2

It'll be a defensive struggle throughout the game until the very end when Francis goes up for the slam to put the Rocks up 2-0. He get's a technical foul though for smiling after the play by Bill Kennedy. His smile was pretty mean looking. However this time that @#$#@ (the ref) won't cost us the game.
