If you want to know what the obama admin tried on cyber security, read this.

    http://www.nextgov.com/cybersecurit...g-right-and-it-still-turned-out-wrong/134612/

Bush largely ignored cyber security. Obama had the right focus out of the gate.

I was really impressed with the Obama admin starts. But the threat increases and changes at a faster rate and as the article points out, we aren’t safer today.

Every new admin needs to continue to have a focus in this area. But Trump admin has not focused on this as an evolving and increasing threat. Worse, Trump ignoring our intel and not taking actions provides a green light for Putin and other to mess with our election (and whatever else they want).

thank you for corroborating my position that Trump admin has finally issued sanctions on Russians after the Senate, in June 2017, had voted 98-2 to do so Trump initially balked at the bill; because the Senate vote was so overwhelming, he begrudging signed off the Senate bill.

despite having been peppered w reminders from Congress to issue the sanction, Trump WH had been dragging its feet

This topic is blown way out of proportion. It is incredibly difficult to cripple the power grid. Never mind the East and West power grids are completely independent of each other. Our power grid has been pieced together for over a century. This makes it inefficient, but resilient. The stability of the power grid has been designed over the decades to withstand basic human incompetence and natural disasters. It takes a lot more than blowing up a couple sub stations or power sources to disrupt it.

But yes, if there was a way to fully disrupt the power grid for even a minute, it would take years to fully recover.

you can't possibly be this ignorant.

Obama, even without Congress passing a bill to do so, issued
    • indictments against Chinese citizens, members of the PLA, for hacking US corporations
    • sanctions against NK
    • sanctions against Russians and kicked out some of their diplomats

Always be prepared fellow CFers. Keep stocks fo water, food, fuel and ammo at all times like it's hurricane season.

You just want to make sure you can be self sufficient for a week.

I haven't confused anything. You claimed Trump hasn't put sanctions on Russia. He had. A simple 'oops my bad. i didn't know that' would probably suit you better than this **** you are throwing against the wall. HEre is your incorrect statement for you again. You might want to go edit it.

Also the sanctions that Trump has issued "against Russia" are not the same sanctions that the senate approved. The sanctions that Trump just passed are very limited.

Nothing to see here. Comrade Putin just likes to play electronics war like glorious 80s movie by Matthew Broderick.

Yes glorious soviet union and evil capitalist usa have been going at it since the sequel to great war. True! but only one administration has embraced the motherland.

Russia could land troops on our shores and begin Red Dawn and people would say, "What do you want Trump to do - this is Obama's fault!"

Got to get that Manchurian Candidate out of the WH fast.

Anyway on Foxnews - nothing to see hear - god bless Putin!

"Folks, these peaceful Russian forces -- these friends -- are just here to save us and our president from the liberals and the main stream media. And I tell ya, those Wolverines are just thugs. Look at them; they barely even look white to me. Definitely why we need to arm our Russian liberators with whatever weapons they need."
