The Joseph signing and the CJ deal probably means they are now targeting positions other than CB and OL
With the cap manipulation they did earlier along with CJ Fiedorowicz retiring, I would bet that the Texans either have the same amount or slightly more cap space after the JJo deal than they had coming into today.
OT is the biggest priority and I am 90% sure they are locking in on one as we speak. I know Colvin is making 8 mil/yr and the guard from the Saints 4 mil. If they as reported had 60 mil in cap space, id guess they’ve spent 20-25 of it take about 10 mil towards draft signings. They still could have 25-30 mil to spend on next years cap
Just want to point out that Kareem has a $9 million cap hit right now. We can cut him and save over $6 million. I know Pancakes is ruling out another CB, but I wouldn't be shocked to see us sign EJ Gaines and cut Kareem. Kareem Jackson just isn't good beyond run support.
Nah this team has no balls. They want to do a retirement tour for Jjo and Kareem before they let them go.
On the tackle front, I'd love to get Cameron Fleming. I think he's the best bet out there right now as a potential starter at LT.
You would think. But they could also be rationlizing Jeff Allen or Derek Newton at RT and Davenport or Seantro at LT. They might be thinking they can't outbid and overpay for tackles and to go for other positions of impact like safety or TE. Maybe even RB.
