She is, thanks for asking. She was one of the supposed few % who break the C6 vertebrae and don't need surgery, get paralyzed or die. She was in a collar for about 3 months and now, it's like it never happened.

My blood pressure is typically normal, around 120/80, but I have chronic back pain (L5/S1 disc fusion with way too much scar tissue, surgeon had his head up his ass) that I have to deal with. When I do something unusually stupid, like some heavy lifting or sitting on a hard surface for too long, the pain gets really bad and it can make my blood pressure go up. Pain subsides somewhat (never goes away), and then my blood pressure is fine. No high BP in my family, just incredibly high lipids (inherited- thanks, Dad) that I keep normal with Lipitor and by staying thin. It's something I have to live with (all that stuff). Since high BP is a sporadic thing, my doc doesn't see it as a problem, and I agree with him. The pain's a problem, though. Don't know why I wrote all that, but I feel better now. ;)

I have a really cool cane I have to use sometimes. It's carved teak with an ivory handle that I picked up in South Asia many years ago (decades, actually, back when there were LOTS of elephants). If you ever see an old slender cat with a cool cane at a Rockets game, it's this guy who drove down from Austin because The Rockets Rock!

The 1st suspect is water retention in legs/feet area,if that is the case : strong coffee,a banana and unsalted nuts will help before Furosemide

Oh and avoid NSIDs. They can raise blood pressure. Stick with Tylenol.
