Rest him for the mavs and the Spurs back to back. We have brutal three game road trip starting in New Orleans and Minnesota back to back and two nights later in an epic showdown in Portland. We will need our best player healthy for that

Don't even joke about that scenario. But the brief moments I saw Johnson, I thought the attempted pick n roll and some defensive effort were valiant but somewhat off timing. There's no way Joe should be getting any minutes over Green though.
MDA is an offensive genius, he should be able to allocate PG minutes between CP3, Splash Gordon and The Prince and keep the offense running. While Splash Gordon is no Beard, he is a capable driver to the rim and surely he can run PNR with Capela. Get Beard some well-deserved rest, there are bigger fishes to fry on the horizon.
The mentality should be we’re gunning for that number 1 seed and we are not ducking anybody. Personally, i hope we face them and gsw when both teams are at full strength. This is a special year for us, and nothing would make it sweeter than to go through those teams.
He doesn't need to play hurt, he needs to be fit for the playoffs. The Toronto performance was his best under pressure. Only biased selectors would give that award to someone else.
