GS doesn't have many more "lose-able" games left (@min, @SA, @OKC, vs NO, and maaaaaybe @UTH). We're going to have to run nearly perfect the rest of the way in order to hold onto the #1 seed.

We can afford one more loss assuming the Warriors win out since we own the tie breaker.

While GG does make mental mistakes still, JJ's lack of foot speed made him the #1 target on switches for like 4 possessions in a row. That's the type of ish the Rockets do when there's a sucky defensive player on the other team. They just relentlessly attack him and that's what Toronto was doing to JJ and that scared the crap out of me.

Offensively, his fear of letting fly an open 3 pointer from the top of the arc that led to a 24 second violation by CP3 almost made me throw my phone through the TV, smh. There's really very little justification left to play JJ over GG. The basic stats are unimpressive, the film looks bad, and the advanced metrics are awful.

You should've read the post. This was actually entirely about Joe Shee.

man when he passed up that 3 I facepalmed so hard.. Wish Ryan was in that position. At least he's not afraid to throw it up from deep.

You do realize the Rockets have (the equivalent of) a two game lead on the Warriors with only 17 games left. That is a very strong position. Don't sweat it too much.

It will 100% be a sweat and come down to the wire. We've got 8 "lose-able" games left and if GS loses just 1 more game that means we can only lose 2 more.

Assuming that Curry is back soon, I feel like it's a true 50/50 flip for us to get the #1 seed. In the tough games we can't be having a negative +/- from islow joe instead of having a better player in there.

It's like Jeff Van Gundy banking on Old Oakley or Rod Strickland.

Joe Johnson might be the ISO weapon that could destroy us....people were very excited about that pickup.

    Yup.

I can easily see JJ losing us a couple more games just like he lost us one today.

He needs to be glued to the bench. Cheer from bench, be a leader in the locker room, iron the uniforms before the games, make coffee, whatever.... Just don't let him step on the court during games.

He is beyond bad. He is atrocious, old, and slow and sucks the energy off of the team when he is out there.

I was never a fan of this guy. This slower and older version is really painful to watch on a team that is doing so well.

Someone tell Baron Davis who our real Kryptonite is.

omg this piece of thrash joe, cant be depended anymore, now I know why j*zz dumped his old ass.

Diantoni needs to be let known, create more banners and tweet him, morey, rockets like mad,

Slow in every lateral facet movement.
If ggreen was in there instead of him, I betcha he would have taken the 3 with a hand in his face without any hesitation, at least better than the beard's halfcourt bomb.
    Hes a cold blooded mofos.

Was not able to watch the game, looking at the box score, the 1st quarter is just horrible.

However, people are complaining about JJ? Did he really played that badly?

Absolutely. This was a very winnable game. JJ looked lost as usual on both ends. He bricked a wide open three from up top and the long rebound ends up in a transition bucket on the other end being 5 point turnaround. A few plays later he has zero confidence and passes up on an another open 3 and at this point the defense is taking notice. There was no reason for him to be in on the last play of the game, it was odd that Harden didn't even come to the ball on the inbounds. with under 6 seconds it'd be better to get the ball in the hands of someone capable of shooting immediately. He was getting abused on defense, and was no threat at all on offense. Gerald Green is an NBA player, JJ is not an NBA player at this stage. He has not aged well and will not be on an NBA roster next year.

Random thought, what would it take for JJ to play him out of any minutes all together? He has a past with coach and WAS a very good scorer. Coach loved his offense but will coach let past feelings closed his eyes to the overwhelming truth?

I hope this is a coach/friend respecting a memory and not someone looking for answers from a trusted source. I am glad it is happening now and not in the playoffs.

five star thread. will read again and again.

here's an idea: bake sales. Set up a table at TC and sell cupcakes. People LOVE cupcakes. Then you you get people to sign your petition.

And parfaits. People LOVE parfaits. Have you ever met a person, you say, "Let's get some parfait," and they say, "Hell no, I don't like no parfait"? Parfaits are delicious!

He wasn't good, but frankly most of the team sucked in the first half. EG was horrendous. I chalk it up to a mentally and physically tired team.
