I guess I never really thought of the pistons as a "lesser" super team or big 5 team

His demeanor and maturity is very much like his father. Any kid who would grow up with so much wealth would be expected to be spoiled. This certainly is not the case here. Not only is he so skillful, very much like LB, but he seems well grounded, humble and hungry to play.
Maybe, he will be a future Houston Rocket, by the age of 20.

This is not how the trade is working at all. In all of these scenarios, Ryno is going to a 3rd team with picks going to CLE. CLE may also want expirings for flexibility. Tax is paid at the end of next season. This season is already determined by the time this trade happens. My guess is after LBJ is gone, CLE wants to jettison Love, Thompson, Hill, and Smith off their books and accumulate talent and picks. They may have to fill roles in the meantime with expirings. This deal could actually help them in their plans of being free of the tax altogether.

We could dump Ryno and EG somewhere else and send picks the cavs way to make it happen.

What asset are we paying to this benevolent third team to take Ryno?

You all make it sound so easy.

Two firsts is the going rate to dump Ryno.

And what are we paying Cleveland?

If it takes 2 firsts to move Ryno we have no firsts for Cleveland.

It should not take 2 firsts to move Ryno with only 2 years left on his deal. A first and a second perhaps, but not 2 firsts.

Ok cool. It's still a tight window to find the team that can absorb Ryno for a first and then for Cleveland to deal off Lebron for a first. Which team has to agree to be the one who takes the 1st 2 years later?

Broussard: Lebron fits better with Lakers than Rockets

Those "LA based" FS1 guys can't wait to have LeBron in "their backyard."

Haha. They are saying that Lebron would rather play with Lonzo than Harden because Lebron wants to handle the rock. What would Lonzo do if he didn't handle the rock? He's not a shooter, he's not a shut down defensive guy.

They don't have to take back any salary , you can involve other teams . Cleveland could use that as a way to shed up to $41.5m in salary while getting multiple first round picks.

These idiots are really trying to convince themselves and their audience that Lebron is smart to go to the Lakers because of Ball and his apparent dominance as an off ball shooter.

LA might be an option, and he might go there, but it won’t be because of Lonzo Ball, and he won’t NOT go to Houston because he’s afraid of it being weird with Harden.

1 1st to move Ryan after this year. Get a 1st for Ego along with expirings or non guaranteeds. Use that first to move Ryan for no salary or more expirings/ngt’s. If you have to use tucker + ngt’s + expirings + Rockets 2019 and 2021 1st rounders. Maybe throw a few 2nd’s in to make it easier.

At most Ryan, Ego and tucker + 2 1sts. Cleveland gets out of the taxable salary and 2 1st rounders.
