Bad decision imo even if we aren’t going for those players, publicly saying this is telling other FAs they don’t have freedom of speech.

What more do you expect from Bob McNair, one of the worst owners in sports.

Won't matter. McNair and Gaine will deny it

This was already debunked, but at least it's best to continue the conversation in a separate thread.

I'm glad that the NFL owners have put so much thought into this whole not standing up for the anthem issue since it is more pressing than concussions, domestic violence, and PEDs. A player can be a criminal or a cheater and have a second chance but not standing up for the anthem is just too dangerous.

I'm with you on this, but to be fair to Texans, they don't even sign criminals or cheaters for the most part (except for Cushing, but he's a bro bro).

They can speak all they want away from work. Kneelers are traitors to our country.

I would argue that you're more of a traitor to our country because you oppose the constitution and the freedom to express yourself however you see fit. I recognize that exercising that right can come with consequences, but it is neither illegal or unpatriotic to kneel during the anthem. It is a subjective issue with no right or wrong answers that definitely doesn't warrant the label of traitor.

Oh really? It doesn’t just say that the organization doesn’t like distractions?

Or are you saying that the players that are demonstrating these protests (of a specific skin color) wouldn’t be intelligent enough to understand that?

Kneelers aren’t saying they are against the military. That’s what some fail to understand. Kneelers are saying that the country is failing them by not giving them the same justice and equality that they are telling other countries the country has. The people against people kneeling just seems like an example of people not letting others speak they’re mind.

“Wants an all white team” but they suck this bad WITH black players lol...

Categorically false? Proof will be in the pudding. As for writing stories like this, it’s just more of the shameless, baseless journalism that is destroying this country one confirmation bias at a time. Solomon should either come clean with sources or be reprimanded.

As for the smoke-but-no-fire, I think LZ saying maybe it’s time for Cal to take over is on point. Bob McNair is drawing too much attention and it’s for anything besides making super bowl speeches.

Games are too long anyway so just remove it and end all this nonsense.
