brilliant! btw thats s why its so funny hearing opinions that harden would not have done well 'back in the day when rules were different'
All the Roberson haters seriously need to take a L. This guy just might be the best perimeter defender in the league.
Its mind blowing there are "professional analysts" out there that still think OKC will do better in the playoffs than Houston. This team has the third highest payroll and is losing by double digits to the Phoenix Suns. They are not even a lock for the playoffs at this point, so they have every reason to give it their all while Phoenix really doesn't.
OKC is always just barely squeaking by against bad teams...they should have like 5 more losses than they currently do
This guy job is to follow the OKC Thunder and he didn't recognize the impact of Roberson on the team's defense? I've only been following OKC to satisfy my thirst for these OKC L's. Even I knew OKC was in trouble when he went down.
Roberson gave Harden most trouble as a defender. The guy has been clearly the best defender in the league for a while now.
So those ****ers got George, Melo and Westbrick but Andre 'Air Ball' Roberson is the linchpin to their success? **** outta here with that bullshit
Can't wait to beat their ass. They was talking crazy about the Christmas win without key players playing.
He actually kind of is. He is a phenomenal defender. I would put him #1 defender on the perimeter in the league, over a healthy kawhi. The thunder rely on their strong defense and the inefficient isolation of their stars on offense. George is good at defense but losing Roberson was huge.
Andre Roberson is responsible for a 12 point drop in OKC's defensive rating. Do you have any idea how big an impact that is? According to bkref, that's better than Ben Wallace's (4x DPOY with absolutely no offense) impact on Detroit's team defense back in the day. OKC was 2nd or 3rd in defense when Roberson was healthy. Now they are below the Rockets and hovering around 10th.
yes, every defensive metric says Roberson is actually way better. Right now, without Roberson, PG13 is not doing much to elevate OKC's team defense.
You don't understand how ridiculous what you are saying sounds. That team is poorly coached. Either Donovan is too shook to coach those personalities or he's just not a good coach
