I had to work night shift during the game. When I clocked-in for the night, I quickly learned that it was going to be an easy night of work, and that I'd most likely get to stream nearly the entire game uninterrupted. Fantastic.

But of course, that didn't work out at all.

At 9:25pm I was informed that I had to begin a task that takes roughly 4 hours to complete, and it needed to be started immediately. Typical. I, like everyone else here, had been looking forward to this game so very much. I almost took a day off for it. Hell, I almost called in.

This task that I was given to complete at work, for the sequence of events that had to occur perfectly, over several days of processes, and for it to be ready at that exact damn time, which was so very close to tip-off, while I also just so happened to be on the particular position in rotation that is responsible for doing this job, is absolutely insane for me to think about. I do not want to know the odds.

So I get ready to start working and I just can't take it. I had league pass audio ready to go so I could listen to the radio broadcast, but I had to at least watch the beginning of this game. So I set my phone up on a shelf, hooked up my wireless headphones, and went to find a stream. I've had to stream probably 15-20 games on my phone this season. I haven't had a single issue over the 2 seasons I've had to do this.

Every stream I find is freezing so horribly that the game is unwatchable. I'd get 5 seconds of watchable gameplay, it would lag out for 10 seconds, then the game would be 3 possessions ahead, or in the middle of a commercial. I could not believe it. I then became obsessed with finding a reliable stream, as this simply just does not happen to me. I'd surely find one, I thought. Foolish.

I had to give up late in the first quarter. My stream had frozen up and skipped far beyond what I later learned was one of the craziest plays Harden has ever made. All I heard was the LA crowd going crazy about something. Infuriating.

So I surrendered and put on the radio broadcast and ended up quickly catching wind of what happened. The brutalization of Wes Johnson. I caught the highlight during halftime. Awesome, but wow, I couldn't believe I didn't get to catch it live. When the game started to tighten up and the 4th quarter began, I decided to try to stream again. No luck whatsoever. I forfeited and had to listen to the radio broadcast like I'm living in the 1950s.

But yeah, I had to visit clutchfans and read the pages of reactions at the very least. Solid win, y'all.

I'm just going to have to quit my job. The nightmare that I experienced last night can never happen to me again.

I'm sure my wife will understand.

So let me understand this line of thinking......

Had the game been close, back and forth for the first 3.5 quarters and as you state “competitive”, and then we pull away by 15 in the 4th and win easy you’d be b****ing “what took them so long” correct?

How the hell you enjoy this game I have no idea.

I get up at 4:20 to drive to work every morning but I stayed up for this one. I am dragging today but the Harden plays soothes my soul.

Skip Bayless take: Not a great play. Harden pushed off. Harden shoots too many free throws. Lebron is bad. Playoffs game 6 Spurs.

I was really glad to see the deliberate actions we were running for Gordon. I feel like he is the true X-Factor for this team to win it all.

    Harden wins MVP in June

Skip Brainless: I didn't see James Harden win MVP in Game 6

    blah blah blah

He's Bill Murray in Groundhog Day, just much more distasteful.

It was not a pushoff. Believe me, I was looking for it, because Harden does do that a lot. But at worst, Harden's arm made contact with Johnson, but had no impact on him falling down. Even Skip admitted it wasn't an offensive foul.

As far as Game 6, look, Harden is gonna have to come up big in the postseason to undo the damage that no-show has done to his rep. Let's not forget the reaction on this board after that series. I know I wasn't the only one who said they would have a hard time ever trusting Harden again in big game situations. His MVP season this year hasn't changed that. I still need to see it in the playoffs.

Harden looks almost remorseful in that shot. "Dear Lord, what have I done to this poor man?"
