ClutchFans Game Thread: Rockets @ Clippers 2/28/2018

I have mixed feelings about this game. On the one hand, I didn't want the Clippers to have any hope after that 1st quarter. On the other, it was fun to watch them start to feel a sense of hope only to have it crushed again.

 

Fake drama at the end... why smh

Too much. We're just killin' teams, even when we're not playing all that great. It's a trip.

 

14 inarow..the floppers had won 8 of there last 10 including road wins in Boston and Denver and pushed the warriors In golden state so it’s a solid win

 

Pretty meh effort after the first quarter massacre, but they don't count style points.

Just keep racking up the W's.

 

The Clips, Nuggets, and Jazz are fighting for the playoffs. Solid wins.

 

Very good win.

Next game is gonna be tough. Not because it’s Celtics but Hardens Friday night out could have him tired for the game. Lol.

Most valuable scrub of the league? I think him and Rivers cancel each other out like Durant and Curry...

 

I feel like the Rockets played the first quarter hard, stomped on the Clips (and murdered poor Wesley Johnson) and then decided to coast the rest of the game, and take it easy. Not bad though, still won by double digits and I think the closest the Clippers got was 8, so for all of Montrezl's posturing and yelling it wasn't much of a game.

It was obvious Rockets went to “YMCA mode” after the first. The Clippers are not good.

Bad teams give Rockets more fits than good ones......yet Rockets are primed to be champions...

 

Not liking the increase in turnovers over the last couple of games.

 

Man. I listened to this game from the Clippers' feed. Is anyone else doing the same? My god these guys are salty... It's like... you guys remember why the Rockets hate your team so much, right? And they're downplaying our success so much, downplaying how good Harden, regurgitating the same nonsense about his playoffs and his defense, all of which is which is really not in their best interest given the @ass whooping we're laying down right now.

And honestly, this guy suggesting they ****ing tackle Harden, WTF??? I mean... The NBA cannot be cool with announcers saying that kinda thing. I feel like this guy needs a good fine.

It's also amazing to me how many local announcers in the NBA know absolutely jack**** about the game (to be clear, this applies to 2/4 of the Rockets announcers, too)

 

I wish cp3 played better tonight against his old team. Had a bad night. But win is sweet

 

EG is back to his old self, the rest works.

 

You could attribute that to playing a lot of tough games on the road.

how austin rivers talk all that **** and only have 6/4/4 on 3/12 in 33 minutes.

 

You understand when shots don't fall, you get beat on D sometimes, but EFFORT you can control....I question some of the effort I saw and that includes a JJ who moves out of the way to allow a basket and not going after balls. On another night, he may be the toast of the town but I've not seen much to yell about to this point. Perfect month for the Rockets though !
