If you weren't a fan of the Rockets, u probably couldn't tell that we are on a 13 game winning streak. Check Espn, and u will see Davis playing outta of his mind beating the lowly Suns.
Davis with 28.2 pts per game after this game. If he keeps going crazy on making points like this, is there any chance Harden lost his Scoring Title? Really hope Harden could get it.
This team is better than the 1994 and 1995 championship teams. Better overall talent and deeper, except for the center position, of course.
Yes, I know I checked ESPN and it’s all about Davis and small headlines about other stuff. Like another player (PG13) complaining about their 3 guys not getting those calls. We have a 13 winning streak and we just won our back2back in Denver and Utah. Two of the toughest places to play. And both Denver and utah have been playing well lately and are trying to make the playoffs. And we don’t even get one headline in espn. Smh Awesome game btw. I wanted us to win it but looked tough without Clint, ryno and Eric. Plus we were down then we got the lead and then it seemed we made so many turn overs and missed so many easy layups. It looked like we might be running out of gas. Then boom we won. It was good we had a lead and we kept it around double digits or we might have lost with those turnovers close to the end. Now tomorrow let’s get the W and get a perfect February
Second night on a high altitude B2B. One of the hottest teams in the league. 2 of our 4 most important offensive players hurt. Shot poorly Played the first half without energy All that, and we still won. You just know this team is gonna find a way to take control down the stretch regardless of circumstance.
We will have to do by committee. Anderson post D plus shooting, stretch 5, Nene/ Wright when they can play. Capela with the rest of the minutes. If Black can bring some D, that will be welcome. Defense and rebounding has to be the identity of the team every night. This will open up our offense too, and lead us to victory. Go Houston Rockets!
to be honest with you i stopped watching in 2nd quarter to save an hour or two of my life ( @DonKnock pls line me up sir its absolutely deserving) cause we looked like walking in the mud and it wasn't fan to watch, to make the things worse it was the jazz announcers so I decided to stop watching and visit cf to see what was the final score only to come here now and see that we have won! OH BABY! I am going to watch the rest of the game now with a great gusto and even enjoy harpring because i know he got what he deserved at the end!
The reason this team has a chance to win it all this year is their ability to lock it down defensively. On a back to back (short handed and on the road) they held the Jazz to 41 2nd half points. Confidence continues to grow!!!
Wish list: Off the ball movement when Harden is on the court. Comments: This happens well when Cp3 is out there. JJ and Moute are exceptional off the ball and passing...... Ariza and Harden -> not so much. This is only important against great teams playing during playoffs.
That was very impressive after a horrible start to the game. That 1st quarter and most part of the 2nd was some of the worst basketball I've seen the Rockets play, just an eye-sore. Harden iso, Harden iso, CP3 iso, Green forcing shots, dribble dribble, tough shots at the end of the shot clock, careless turnovers again and just no rhythm. The only positive at the beginning was some defense and Tarik Black! What a start for a guy who was DNP and basically wouldn't see the court anymore with Wright here. So glad we kept him, couldn't believe people wanted him gone over Troy (I also didn't want to lose Troy, but believe cutting Nanu made the most sense). We're so deep, which is why we were able to pull this one out. Joe Johnson was great again, but it was CP3 for a stretch and Luc Mbah a Moute who won us this game. Prince Luc's cuts to the basket were so key. If only we included that into the playbook with cuts and more off the ball movement - also passing around when iso ball is not working - we would be unstoppable. Luc is so important to this team since he's the only player who cuts to the basket and can handle it. Gordon and Ariza have ball handling issues and somehow Green just wants to shoot threes. Speaking of Green, I love the guy, but man he's not taking advantage of minutes here. Just dumb mistake after dumb mistake, on both offense and defense. For a guy that athletic, how can he not get some drives to the basket with success? Only a handful of dunks and lay-ups / floaters so far with the Rockets. Just odd.. We got lucky a bit too with the Jazz not taking advantage of Gobert on offense at all. We were so small, yet they couldn't capitalise. By the way, Harden needs to be careful with that move where he backs into guys to hold them off. You can bet your ass it's going to lead to a double-foul, an injury, a turnover / offensive foul in the play-offs. Isn't it a foul too since Harden moves into them?? Regardless, I hate the move. I am happy he went at Gobert, don't care if it's end of the game or not. All in all, great win and glad we can keep it rolling.
Well you should know by now, this season, thanks in most part to CP and Jim, we almost always step up in the 3rd and 4th quarters and manage to close out games. Sure, in the past, we had games where we'd just roll over and give up when things got tough, but this season is different. CF Positive Vibes must be working.
