Yessss!! We always on his mind. Kerr is shook and trying to set up favorable calls 2 months in advance. Bringing up the past to downplay the current rules is a cop out. A foul is a foul. Coach your guys on how to draw those favorable calls it's not trying to trick refs it's knowing the rule and punishing the defender for losing focus. It's a skill.

I think Durant was probably the first one to really exploit that rip through move that Kerr is talking about.

Words - “We aren’t worried about anyone but ourselves.”

Actions - “Harden, Harden, Harden; blah, blah, blah; waaaahhh... The league just likes the scoring so much...”

Can someone explain to me the actual rules??

Because from my point of view, the offensive player is already initiating contact on like half the fouls in the league. That's anything from already called offensive fouls, to defender trying to take a charge but being out of position, to an offensive player stopping suddenly and getting hit, to an offensive player pump faking a player into the air and jumping even the little-est bit into the defender, to a driving player jumping into the body of the defense, with the end result being a foul of some kind.

So with what Steve Kerr is specifically saying in the video... ABSOLUTELY it's the offensive player initiating contact. But how in the world does that make it an offensive foul?? The reason the offensive player can initiate the contact is because the defender is reaching.

The big hint here is that, INDEED, the NBA really focused on this call this offseason, to the point they changed the rule. But they didn't say "that's an offensive foul". Because, clearly it's not. But if it's not an offensive foul... how could they change the rule? They had to do something, because indeed, nobody liked it when Reggie did his version back in the day, and its not exactly aesthetically pleasing. I admit that. So they had to do SOMETHING!! So they just made it a non-shooting foul... even if the offensive player is clearly shooting.

    It is what it is.

Kerr should stop b****ing about it.

Poor, poor Mr. Kerr. He must be getting an ulcer just thinking about going against this year's Rockets. He's whining like a spoiled brat.

Dantoni should start tweeting about zero tolerance for unsportsmanlike conduct and illegal screens two months out too.

Yeah -- but he didn't actually mention Harden and his comments are applicable to Durant and Curry too. I took it more as a general commentary on how the game has changed today versus when he played with regard to how officials protect shooters much more.

Did that "reporter" try to conflate Zaza's dirtiness with LeBron's comments on driving/shooting fouls?

Did anyone ask Kerr what he thinks of Pachulia's growing history of attempting to injure players?

If Harden was a Warrior, Kerr would be slobbing knob hard. He's playing mind games, but he's not as effective as Phil Jackson or JVG. It's actually a pretty lame take.

You don't think he'd just deny that he has such a history of trying to injure other players?

I never wish injury on anyone but I won't miss this overrated weasel if he retires due to his back issues.

This guy truly is a piece of sh*t.

It's as if he does not have an ounce of common sense when it comes to his comments.

But then again, the entire Warriors organisation seem to have this sense of entitlement.

KD made that rip through move what it is today. This guy is a f*cking clown when you're trying to argue something, that if anyone watched a replay of they'd see blatant fouls.
