Ball routinely goes from one end to the other, great movement and patience allowing the play to materialize; waiting for defense to get forced into the bad matchup. It's no longer a free for all up and down the court there is purpose in each pass and possession. It's a good thing.

Don't play fast, play smart. The more standing around we can do, the better.

The team is pretty slow in a low of ways. I really don't think there is a single fast guy for their position on the entire team. Which is why it's comical D'antoni puts the lineups he does out there. Athletic teams can absolutely annihilate some guys on this team.

Barton and Teague crush the low level athletes across the roster. What Kevin Durant and Kawhi Leonard will do will be disgusting.

I could also see Westbrook living in the lane gainst Joe Johnson/Ariza/Tucker frontcourts.

PnR, create the switch, go into ISOs, which we've seen a lot more lately, take almost 14+ seconds to develop.

    Yeah but SYSTEM

Come playoff time the SYSTEM of playing fast/slow will not work cause things slow down or speed up.

There is a belief out there that the data doesn’t correlate an increase in pace along with an increase in offensive efficiency

I'd respect these guys a lot more if they replayed this clip from 2015 and admitted how unbelievably stupid their take was.

But the Rockets can't win when the game slows down...

I've noticed in last night game. When teams pick up the pace, we was struggling for awhile.

is that way we don't have more wins right now its because we get "annihilated" by athletic teams?

LOL KD hasn't done "disgusting" things to the rockets this year

    and Kawhi who?

As for Westy we all know letting him ISO and chuck is a sure way to beat OKC

But playing in Mike D’Antoni’s uptempo and fast pace offense inflates James Harden’s stats.

Given that we are one of the oldest teams in the league...
I would have to think the slower pace and longer rotations would be hugely beneficial...

Sooooo... a slower pace, longer rotations and focused defense are winning games for us...

    hmmmmmm... who'd a thunk it... ;)

MDA must be having a fit... lol
