This is a W Wicky Wubio still with the J!zz Damn, we would have been 59-0 if we brought him here as primary ball handler
This could be a tough game, with another high altitude city and back to back. I'm interested in seeing who plays. Sure hope Gordon is back. Rockets by 8.
Hope the team isn't tired. Back to back in Denver and Utah is tough. Fortunately, the rotation was pushed to the limit and hopefully EGo and Nene get to play with fresh legs.
This has "schedule loss" written all over it, but this is not the same ole Rockets, so I don't know. The Jazz are red hot. I hope some fresh players get a shot tonight.
I said that about both recent Timberwolves games, a Nuggets game two weeks ago and a Miami game. I have this as a loss as well but honestly I dont even know anymore.
The Rockets have done pretty well in tough B2Bs this season, including most recently at Miami when the Heat were on a roll. And they were shorthanded in that one. Also, Utah has not looked as sharp coming out of the break. They got destroyed at home by Portland and then barely beat a Mavs team that's trying to lose. Hell, even before the break despite their winning streak, they eeked out a 2-point win at home against an extremely shorthanded Spurs squad. Point being, even factoring in fatigue and the Jazz's recent success, the Rockets have a pretty good shot at this one if they take care of the ball and defend.
I'm with you guys. The way we played last night's fourth quarter, we should call a split on this back2back and go home. But this team is built to win games, period. I feel confident we may blow them out, it's always good to beat the hell outta the Jazz. If it's a tight game by the end, our legs may give up on us, and Gobert creates all kind of problems for James in the half court sets. But I'm calling a W, 117-93. That's how good this team make me feel!!
even the last seasons' rockets were awesome at back to back games and have held an unbeatable record on b to b deep into the season
Fresh legs should include NENE, Gerald Green, Brendan Wright and EGO if he is healthy. Ryan Anderson only played 20 minutes last night. Utah is not as good as Denver and is 1000 feet lower in altitude. We got this.
We win a lot of games that would have been losses last year. Rockets are just deeper and better this year. I don't believe jn trap games this year. Too many players are too good and too hungry to let us loose close games against inferior teams.
I expect the Jazz to play physical and pretty desperately. They'll drop 3 back of the playoffs with a loss. I hope CP3 will bring some defense tonight. Denver really tore into him, making 10-13 from the field and 5-6 from 3 point range when he was the primary matchup. The last couple of games CP3 hasn't had that same swagger on D. Also, props to Harden last night. He rode that hot streak shooting the ball, but folks, his D was measurably good. The advanced stats reveal that Denver was 2-13 (0-5 from 3 pt range) when Harden was the primary matchup. I've been tough as anyone on Harden's D, but he had going right last night. Pretty impressive when you're scoring 40 to be locked in on D.
Utah might be better than Denver despite the lower record. They've won 10 out of 11 and have been rolling since Gobert came back. Their defense is certainly better than Denver's and Mitchell hasn't hit the rookie wall, he's actually getting even better.
Utah doesn't deserve Donavan Mitchell at all but glad he's there. No FA will want to play with him in Utah. Now if he were drafted by the Lakers...
