I just saw it, and I thought it was hilarious. The basketball congregation one.

If he keeps making good commercials, he'll go a long way in this league.

What do you think? Better or worse than the Yo / Yao commercial?

It reminded me a lot of the church scene in Blues Brothers, with people jumping up and down as if on trampolines.

Yeah but popularity is key to success in the league. If people see you on TV all day being funny, they're gonna think you're a better player than you actually may be. Goes both ways though.

Meanwhile, on a side note, have you seen the steve francis Champs sports commercial with "the doc" guy? He's an exec and the doc is trying to sell him stuff? That one sucked, it's not even as good as the first two in the series. I really liked the one with tiki barber, ronde barber, and Nelly. Where he goes : "but he ain't hooked up like I invented the hook up." and then Nelly's like "that's just wrong, doc." hahaha.

i thought the commercial was pretty dumb

I wish Lebron James would just go away. He's been in the league for a little over a month and it seems like he's been there 10 years.

But the commercial is cool because it makes fun of how people think he's the next Jesus.

Thats the only reason why i think its hilarious. When they show him passing the ball and whoever catches them, they play like a god, funny stuff.

Penny Hardaway made good commercials (Little Penny). He'll go down as vastly overrated and overhyped.

Yeah... I only saw it once so I don't remember much of the details. But Bernie Mac is preaching about a savior or something and LeBron comes in cloaked in white. And when he passes him the ball, there's like a force field around it.

    Anyway... it's good stuff.

I remember the little penny commericials. The one with Tyra Banks "get you a job if you want..."

I think a good comercial for Lebron would be him trying to snatch a pebble out of MJ's hand and Jordan telling him "you still have much to learn grasshopper" or "your road to greatness will begin with many dissapointments". Something a bit funnier, these people who think he is some sort of basketball messiah even in a commercial. Puh leeeze!!

I still like the TNT (or is it ESPN) commercial where a bunch of school kids are circling and singing around Shaq. "But the spurs won the west..."
