This is probably my favorite Christmas movie
    [closely by A Christmas Story]

I tend to like an old Technocolor one with Scrooge
    with the long scraggly hair
[esp the scene where he gets drunk with the Ghost of Christmas Present]

The George C Scott one i think is the best by a hair.

The Patric Stewart one is good but not all world IMO.

    Which Version do you perfer?

Laugh if you like, but my family really likes "A Muppet Christmas Carol". We have a tradition of watching it as a family every tear. Michael Caine makes a great Scrooge.

The original one, 1938 with Lionel Barrymore.

    Absolutely!
Carol Kane kills me! "The b**** hit me with a toaster!"
    :D:D

I have to go with Scrooged #1
    George C Scott version second
    and the original one third

No love for the Fonze? I like the Bill Murray one best, but the one with Henry Winkler is my number 2.

This is also my favorite. The muppets have a way of speaking to all generations.

The 1938 version with Reginald Owen is the first American version and is very good! Before that there were 3 other versions (All British).

But my favorite version is the 1951 version with Alastair Sim called “Scrooge” (UK version).

I’m also partial to Bill Murray’s Scrooged!

Patric Stewart's version is also excellent! I got to see his one-man version on Broadway and he was amazing!

This is my favorite, but I can't remember which one is the one I love...

I know its in black and white and I think it was done in the 30's, but I'm not sure...

All I remember is that Scooge has long, stragly hair with Sleepy Floyd eyes...;)

Also, when he wakes up, he goes out the window and a asks the little boy to get the biggest turkey and he visits his nephew and laughs funny...

    uh..they all do that...

Was Cratchit fired in the film? Because the only version where that happens is the 1938 version with Owen. In all the others, he doesn't get fired. Cratchit doesn't know who sent the turkey and doesn't confront Scrooge until the next day.

You're probably thinking of the 1951 Sims version.

    Yes...yes, I am a dork
