I dont know if it is Carl's need to be witty that is underselling this thread, but this thread needs more traffic. I'm only 27 minutes into the Morey portion of the podcast but this is some insightful stuff.

Just the Morey portion. blessed with that 2x speed ;)

Morey admits that he should shut up more, lol.

Bill said that Morey talked too much in the past, but has found a nice balance now

Bill goes on to say that Hinkie should have talked more and that was his downfall.

Bill tells Morey Rockets are 15-1 to win it all. Morey shocked, thought it should be 10-1 and asks to see which books Bill is looking at.

Finished the pod. Just a heads up, this was recorded before Tilman bought the team after Les re-upped Harden and Morey. Keep that in mind when you're listening. So, no talk about the the Rockets success or recent acquisitions.

Morey saying he should shut up more knowing when this pod was recorded makes it even more hilarious.

Listened to this on my way back from work and thoroughly enjoyed it. Morey and Simmons have a nice rapport and as mentioned above, the conversation yielded some pretty insightful stuff.

I appreciated the part where Morey compared McGrady's passing skills to Harden's. I always thought T-Mac was an underrated passer and probably why there aren't any videos of him passing

It should probably be noted that the Morey interview portion of the podcast was recorded over the summer and not recently. BS just finally tacked it onto one of his podcasts.

Morey: Tmac is like on another level, absurd passer, made so many guys around him better.

James is like on his level, maybe better.......

    DMau being humble there.

Harden has the advantage of having a lower center of gravity and being stronger and more durable.

Tmac was a scoring version of Penny Hardaway, could have had even better handles but he aint a guard IMO, albeit playing like one.

I wonder if TMac would be used as a small-ball 4 in todays NBA He had the height and the wingspan, obviously not the frame but neither does Trevor Ariza. I could easily see him beating slower wings and bigs off the dribble, which would be far more efficient than his original tactic of shooting over smaller guards.
