I'm pretty sure Colin said his pick was harden for MVP a few weeks ago. This is just for tv.

 

I'm not sure if Cowherd even really believes what he's saying, this sounds like stir the pot material made by the producers for a boring NBA break Monday.

The MVP is a regular season award given to the player having the best season, period. I'm sorry they don't rename/reissue it to Best Player in the League Award, wouldn't have the same intrigue and only 6 players in league history would have ever won the damn thing. How can professional sports commentators not understand this? Blows my mind.

 

They are running out of reasons. What's ironic was that WB won it for his trip dub season, while Big O did not. People were a lot smarter back in the day, compared to the trash that we have now that are sucking up all our oxygen.

I understand Colin's point though. Lebron is indisputably the better player overall and as complete a player that I have seen since KG.

I give up. They keep moving the goal post on what a MVP is. Harden has the best record & his stats are above & beyond better than anybody else's. How could Lebron be a option? The media's love affair with Lebron has reached scary heights. In my opinion, he's paying them to keep saying his name every segment, even when the topic has nothing to do with him. Commentator A says "How good is Houston?", commentator B responds, "well Harden's playing outta his mind, it's almost Lebron like. But Lebron's in the east".

 

If MVP was for the best player in the league, Lebron would win it every year.

 

I just can't get over the fact that he's acting like +/- is an odd stat. Did your team perform better than the other team when you were on the court? GEE-ZUS
