This was written last year. He didn't just say this about this year's team.

Kenny was overrated when he was on the Rockets, and he's rather annoying on the TNT crew. Barkley, Shaq, and whoever else they usually get are Hall of Famers. Kenny was a mere role player. Don't know how he landed the gig on TNT, but JVG on ESPN is how I expect an ex-Rocket to speak about the team. Very passionate about the team while still being a realist.

Durant is a center in playoffs

Playing Durant at the 5 put a different twist on the Lineup of Death, because the Warriors can spread the floor even farther by taking Green out and putting a better 3-point shooter in his place, either Nick Young or Omri Casspih

When people start saying Kenny Smith only played one game for the Rockets
I mean when fans who got the cliff notes of Rockets history and think one player only played one game
and that the dismiss their Rocket's tenure based on the their NBA analyst stints,

the truth needs to be served

I hate when he compares this Rocket team to his championship teams. Why even compare? They are 2 completely different teams in 2 completely different eras. There is nothing that ties these 2 teams together. It comes across as "this current Rocket squad is pretty good, but they'll never be better than my Rocket team". In the end, Kenny's the one who said CP & Harden would never mesh. How about admitting you were WRONG before telling the world how unimpressed you are about us having such a great fantastic start? That would be the fair thing to do
